Y'all know why

Feedback:

My issue is with the actual facility itself and how it is operated. Their hours are M-F 7:30am-5pm. Almost everyone who visits the job center for assistance does, in fact, have a job and it's only open during the most common working hours. Perhaps if the would consider opening later and closing later, it would be more feasible for working people to come take care of business without being penalized at work for leaving early. Some desks and departments inside close before 5. The information for hours and procedures on the website do NOT match what is asked once inside the building. People who ride the bus run the risk of taking children on a 2 hour bus ride only to be told the area they need is closed. The one star is purely for the staff. Most of the staff are kind and understanding of the frustration and challenges associated with procedures at the job center. They do the best they can with what they are given. I understand Montgomery county is a high need area, and that one little place cannot be expected to handle the traffic, but some common sense changes would greatly enhance the ease and availability for many families in the area.

Went to make a support payment, when the payment receipt was printed out there was a bed bug crawling on it

I would give it a zero if i could. Front desk receptionist dont wanna answer any questions. Just directs you to the case questions line witch is sometimes an hour long just to request a call from your case worker. When i said ill just call i am told that you cant do it over the phone. So you have to make a trip all the way down here by car or by bus, just to ask for a case worker to call you for a 5 minute phone call. Absolute waist of money waist of space and waist of time. P.s. The more money spent on the building to make it look better, the uglier the customer services get.

Feedback:

The star speaks for itself. Childcare department is horrible. They definitely need a better system. It's sad there are people out here trying to be productive and just needing a little assistance to get back financially stable so they don't have to depend on the system, yet they are only available on Wednesday, however cash and food department available all week. Makes a lot of sense. (Self-sufficiency)

Feedback:

This place is a joke and a prime example of why people do not trust our government with our health insurance! My ex has been pending since November of 2018, visited the job center and continues to get a run a round, or get a different answer and person to assist her. So while this is going on my insurance does not know what to pay with our kids until coverage is decided on, so my medical bills are piling u[ waiting to find out the outcome for my ex wife, thank you job center your batting 1000. Over paid over valued waste of a place!!!

Feedback:

There is almost always a long line everywhere in this building. They really need to train the workers on customer service. I feel like some of them are there just for a check. Only a few people cared enough to help me when I was applying for snap.

Feedback:

THEY messed up MY paperwork, so I had 90 days for ME to sort it out, well that time limit is almost up, and i'm never able to get ahold of anyone, soooo...screw me I guess...... zero ZERO stars

Feedback:

If i didnt have to give even 1 star I wouldnt. I have issues every single year when it comes time for redetermination. the Childcare division has lost part of my applications the last 2 years, and if it wasnt for me filing for a stae hearing they would have just said oh well. This year, they got over onme again. March 13th I went to the buildng and physically handed my redeermination paper and 2 paystubs to a worker for them o be immideately scanned in because according to them this is the best way. March 23rd I recieve a notice i the mail staing my childcare was denied becasue I didnt turn in the forms, called my caseworker, she told me to ignore it as long as I actually turned them it, that its a mass mailer sent out and they do not have control over it April 4th i recieve another notice that says childcare was approved, and for once i was happy it went through with out a glitch. Until today, Tried to sign my kids into daycare only to find out that my CC ended on the 6th. Looked back at my aproval notice and saw that the dates on the paper were for 2018 and 2019, NOT 2019 to 2020 like they should be. SO because once again, MCJFS screws up, I have to find other means for a sitter so that I can continue to work. Oh, dont even bother trying to call the CC division. they never call you back if you leave a message or both your caseworker and the main lines voicemail will be full so you cant leave a message. IF i didnt actually need help with daycare, i wouldnt even bother. this place is ridiculous
