Feedback:

Not Professional at all or better to say they are totally messed up. 1st of all they messed up the sample itself which delayed the testing for a month then they sent us wrong report and marked it as High Risk pregnancy case, as first time parents it was a shocker. They actually shared a wrong report with us, due to this wrong report they asked us to take blood test for which we have to run behind them, as they don't have a facility to draw blood, then at-last my doctor arranged blood test for us so that Counsly can proceed. Then it took them almost a month to update us back that my wife results are clean and there is no issue. Now its more than 3 weeks and I am running behind them to send me a detailed mail with explanation and they are passing the balls around. If you are pregnant and your doctor asks for Genetic test make sure you are for vendor and skip if its Counsly. I don’t want anyone else to go through such harassment which we went through.

I have been trying to get in contact by phone and email with these ppl for over a week and no response. I'm so pissed at these ppl I can't get my test results.

I am pregnant and I had a routine visit at my OBGYN. The doctor's office drew blood for routine testing. My doctor's office sent my blood sample to a Counsyl without my knowledge of them being an out of network provider and with ZERO knowledge of there being any charges for the routine testing. After a month or so I received a bill for $350 from a company called Counsyl. When I inquired about the charges they advised me that they were for genetic testing services for a blood test sent by my doctor. I advised the Counsyl representative that we were never made aware of the charges prior to the testing and we would have never consented to the testing (which we now have found out is not routine but elective). The Counsyl representative told us that they send out an email and text message about the charges. I advised the rep that I never received an email or text and we never responded with authorization to run the test. The rep told me that they just assume we got it and do not wait for a consent response acknowledging the charges. This is a sham and I am not liable for charges I was not made aware of. It is like charging someone to exit a building without fist telling them there is an exit charge when entering. Flat out wrong. We will not pay them and I would like Counsyl to clear our balance and send confirmation that we owe them nothing.

We did the cell-free DNA screen with them. Sent my sample on Thursday morning, they received them Friday. We got our results by email on Monday. This was an easy to understand file that downloads from their site. I highly reccommend Counsyl for any genetic testing needs.

DO NOT USE THEM!!They messed up my test sample, took two weeks to notify us of it. Sent the repeat test to our old incorrect address all while dodging emails asking for a refund. One I demanded a refund and threatened to post negative reviews they cancelled my order and assured me that a refund would post within a few days. That was 12 days ago.I disputed the charge on via AMEX and am now warning people about this broken company.

Terrible billing process. Extremely expensive, frustrating and time consuming. Wish I had never agreed to have this test done.

Got a large bill from them since they are not in network of my insurance, and we were not informed about that or that their service is being used beforehand.Update: Raising review stars from 1 to 2 because main fault is of my provider to use this out of network service. And, after contacting Counsyl about this issue they reduced the bill by 50%.

Terrible billing process. Too much misinformation and conflicting information related to billing questions and costs. Very time consuming and frustrating in attempting to get facts about accurate costs and lab procedures. Check out other companies who also do genetic testing and accept insurance.
