Client Review on UNC REX Healthcare
Feedback:
The only reason this place gets two stars is because the Puerto Rican Tech Ms.Jessica was very kind to me and were one of the few people who made me feel like I was still human. Entered Rex ER willingly due to mental health. I genuinely feel as if I were not treated with care.... I was threatened to be sedated AFTER I had previously been calm. I wasn’t posing a threat to anyone so I feel as if I was just labeled “crazy” because of why I was there.... THANKFULLY I was able to inform her I wasn’t in need of sedation because I’m already relaxed and that it’s extremely unnecessary. I even took the time to tell these medical PROFESSIONALS how to approach people with mental health problems because they made me feel like I was a prisoner and had committed a mass murder. They didn’t listen to me, didn’t ask if I was ok and showed no remorse or compassion. I made the biggest mistake going to REX !!! I was terrified for my life in a place where I’m supposed to be cared for. Back to Ms. Jessica (Puerto rican Tech) was outstanding. She helped me remain calm, connected with me on a personal level and made sure I was ok.... she made me feel safe and has a great listening ear and gave good advice as well! The security guard who stayed with her was very pleasant as well and her name is also Jessica (wears a silver wedding band and is Caucasian). These two girls are magnificent and once again are the only reason this place gets 2stars. GO TO WAKEMED AND GET REAL HEALTH CARE !!!!
