I've been a customer since 2012 occasional problems were promptly resolved these past 2 weeks most of my inbound calls are getting blocked and forwarded to voice mail I was able to reach some of the so-called " highly trained techs" to no avail. I spent 4 days trying to solve the issues on my own following the guide lines of trouble shootings and to this day I am left with no ringing phone and simply shopping for a better PROVIDER . MP

Absolute WORST Company to deal with. I have accounts I've canceled they are still billing and show account as active., Literally on the phone for 1/2 a day with no resolution. I'm planning on going to Homdel to deal with a real person. They outsource Customer Service to India and NO ONE knows what the hell they are doing!!! The Worst....I feel disgusted that I have to give it one star!!!

I am not one to write a scathing review of any business, but it's been over a year and my phones STILL randomly stop working for weeks or months on end. Nobody at Vonage is equipped with the knowledge on how to deal with issues with their technology. What a joke! This is a phone company, the least their customers should be able to expect is their phones to be in proper working order. They certainly don't resolve issues, our phones randomly stop working and nobody knows how to resolve this issue immediately. How do they STILL not know how to resolve this issue? It literally happens ALL.THE.TIME!!! It's been over a month and my business is still without a front desk phone! A month before that our front desk phone stopped working during our busiest season. One month prior to that all our phones stopped working! And so on and so forth. Myself and my employees have been put on hold for hours on end only to have them tell us they don't know how to resolve our issue and someone will call us back in a few hours. We never receive a call back. The amount of money my business lost in hours of payroll when my employees are on hold and lost business due to our phones not working, is more than I even want to think about-- what a disrespectful way to treat customers! If they don't know how to make their technology work properly they should not be in the business of promising to provide phone service! I am switching to another company, but I wanted to write this as a warning to other business owners because nobody should have to go through what we went through with this company. The way Vonage runs their business is despicable, disgraceful, disgusting, and probably unlawful. I would never recommend Vonage to anyone.

Be careful with this company. They offered a Motorola phone system when I signed up, and 5 months later I have not received it. When I called to inquire about it, they stated they were out of stock. And that I was no longer eligible to receive one. And they would not issue me any type of credit for the purchase of one. Buyer beware.

It's time for Vonage to act responsibly and take steps to reduce/eliminate scam calls made to millions of American phones trying to "sell Vonage". the knowledge of these callers indicate that they are trained by either ex Vonage employees or are people with close knowledge of the company. perhaps Vonage was hacked and American citizens' information was compromised and Vonage does not want to admit that. It's time! wake up Vonage and do your share of protecting our information. stop hiring cheap labor that's outsourced and you cannot control when your system is compromised.to those who have commented here and talk about making a lot of many or have a great parking space, when reading remarks about so many unhappy customers, how do you even live with your selves? is that all you care about? how much money you make? guess what? one day, they will give you a pink slip also, just like they have in the past!

Extremely horrible customer services, no follow ups on lodged complaints, its been 06-Months they are unable to resolve the reported issue.Every time you call them to follow up they will read the same template script to you.I wish there was an option to give them negative star rankings.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT .DO NOT I MEAN DO NOT GO WITH VONAGE !!! THEY HAVE NOTHING BUT INCOMPETENT EMPLOYEES AND MANAGERS . CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIFIC . YOU'LL BE ON HOLD FOR NO LIE 2 HOURS FOR THEM TO SAY HOLD ON , THEN IF THE DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIX YOUR ISSUE YOU WILL THEN BE HUNG UP ON AND NOT EVER CALL YOU BACK. YOU WILL HAVE YOU REPEAT THAT CYCLE A FEW TIMES TILL YOU GET SOME ONE WHO HAS HALF A BRAIN STEM TO HELP YOU . EVEN STILL AT THAT BEING YOU HAVE BEEN ON HOLD FOR 2 HOURS THEY WILL STILL TELL YOU TO GIVE THEM A FEW HOURS AND THE WILL CALL YOU BACK (WHICH NEVER HAPPENS)I HAVE HAD THEIR TERRIBLE SERVICE FOR 9 MONTHS AND THIS IS THE CONSTANT ISSUE I FACE WITH THEM . I HAVE A CREDIT OF OVER $500 ON MY ACCOUNT BECAUSE OF THEIR F UP AND THEY STILL HAVE THE STONES TO CALL ME NOT EVEN AFTER A MONTH TO SAY MY ACCOUNT IS OVER DUE . ARE YOU KIDDING ME. GAVE THEM A CASE NUMBER AND THEY ARE STILL CONFUSED. BEEN ON HOLD FOR TWO HOURS NOW DURING MY WORK DAY TRYING TO RUN A BUSINESS JUST TO BE TOLD " YEAH WE''LL HAVE TO CALL YOU BACK IN A FEW HOURS" BECAUSE THEY NEED TO PHYSICALLY LISTEN TO THE RECORDING OF ME GETTING A CREDIT OF THAT AMOUNT TO MY ACCOUNT , AFTER I GAVE HIM THE CASE NUMBER AND FORWARDED THE CONFIRMATION EMAIL OF PROOF !!! THEY HAVE ZERO RESPECT FOR YOU , YOUR TIME, YOUR BUISNESS , OR YOUR MONEY .THE ONLY THING THEY WILL GIVE RIGHT THEN AND THERE ON THE SPOT IS A POUNDING HEADACHE. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM YOU WILL REGRET IT . I PROMISE YOU WILL

My senior aunt and uncle have been without incoming service for over two months although they can make calls. Vonage customer service is out of the country and they cannot get someone to help them properly. Yet, Vonage continues to take the full monthly payment for full service. We all know how difficult it is to stop auto pay or cancel your card and notify all debtors. It's more than frustrating for two seniors unable to get incoming calls. It's dangerous that the company doesn't have real customer service. Seniors live for a call from family. If your considering them as a senior think twice.

BasicTalk is a division of Vonage no matter what their customer service agents try to tell you. Since BasicTalk fails to give phone support as required of all voice providers, I called Vonage tech support to talk about the BasicTalk (and collaterally Vonage) website not working properly in the latest version of Chrome in the Windows 8.1 operating system.All I got was misinformation, wrong information, and outright lies, and refusal to find the correct information, which was the number for a person at Vonage HQ in NJ about the matter. Spent 40 minutes on the phone, only to get hung up on by a manager who repeatedly refused to even do his job dorrectly.He totally failed in performing his duties. I should have heard him clicking away on a computer keyboard, but the whole time all he did was vamp out false information, the number he gave me (the second three digits spelll the F-bomb) is not the correct number for this situation.Totally failed to follow customer service best practices and the generallly accepted customer service practices.

I will advise not to buy Vonage, they will send you pages long email which you will tend to ignore. And in that email, there is a mention of 1 year long contract and a termination fees of $120. They will very patiently tell you that it is your fault that you ignored their seemingly harmless emails but there it is, way to rip of your money.I used Vonage previously in 2010-11 and they were very good and transparent. It is very disappointing to see such a good company has slipped into unfair practices so badly.Never using Vonage again.
