Client Review on San Diego Medical Center

Feedback:

Mixed review do to inane policies. It is the closest place to my home and since it is the weekend I can't go to my regular doctor. I gashed my big toe last night in a freak accidentqi. It is Sunday. I was here less than a month ago, because I crashed on my mountain bike and it was a Saturday and gave them all of my insurance etc. They told me that since it's more than two weeks, they need to see the card again which I don't have a hard copy of. Thankfully my wife is home and we'll bring the card to me. While they open at 8 am, the doctor doesn't get here until 9. If I thought I could drive to another location and be seen sooner I would. In fairness, despite the ridiculous procedures they have in getting seen, the nurses and the doctor have a great bedside manner. They don't do any sort of priority of injuries or it is first come first serve. I thought it was a little ridiculous as I came in with a bleeding toe and was in a lot of pain. I didn't get to see the doctoruntil 9:30 a.m. when I showed up when the place opened at 8 a.m. and I was the third person through the door.So all-in-all I like the doctor and the nurse and the X-ray tech and believe that I proper medical treatment. It's still was better than going to the emergency room. All they need to do is to change their procedures a little bit and they could easily get four or five stars.
