Feedback:

I've been an platinum EDGE member for over 8 years. The Derby location is the easiest for me to get to. There is a woman at the front desk that is rude and confrontational. It was so egregious, I felt management needed to know. The approach by management was dismissive. I canceled my membership, which was month to month and am still being charged. There are better gym options.

I love this gym and the staff. I have had such bad experiences with kids clubs in other gyms but never here. My daughter is a Girl Scout. She was working on a badge and without hesitation Miwana S- a trainer made time to answer questions and do demonstrations to satisfy her badge requirements. I have also taking Miwana’s classes. They are tough and make you hurt soooo good!! 😆 I highly recommend!!!

Loved this gym up until they locked the women's area and can now only be used by "total" members. $30 a month for women to feel comfortable in a gym that's usually overtaken by men? Not cool.

I have been going to this gym as a guest of a regular member. I'm going to get my own membership at a gym closer to where I am. It's painful and a lot of work because I am completely out of shape, but it's SO MUCH FUN!

Great gym with a variety of equipment. The movie theater/cardio room was a genius idea! Other than it being too busy on some week nights, I highly recommend this gym.

I agree with most people here Derby is the best one. The members are so great and personable. The staff they have is good, what I mean by good is the ones that have been there for years are great, friendly, hard workers. The newer staff members behind the desk, not so much a few of them don't seem like they like their job and could be friendlier. I love the place itself tough. Now if we can just get the eye doctor next door to move so we can expand again. Lol , it would be nice to have a sauna like the newer edges do. P.s. to the edge execs, Milford is your worst gym it's like walking into a dungeon, you def need a new location, and dint darken the windows so much. Sunlight is good

Over-staff. Too many trainers and workers. They need only Two - max three people during the shift. For safety. Hours of operation Fridays, Saturday, Sunday please consider changing to 12 am. Weekend days people have off from work and a lot wants to go exercise late at night!!!!!.

Very clean, and never overly packed. Bring headphones though, the music is terrible. It's rare you'll hear a song you know, let alone one you can workout to.

I never write reviews but I honestly had two horrible experiences so I think people should be aware. First time I went in I wanted to sign up for the gym. The kid who was behind the desk did not allow me to read what I was signing and failed to inform me about extra charges that would be billed to me. I spoke with the manager, Joe (in Derby), and there was nothing he could do. I ask that he at least speak with his employees so that others do not have this experience. I do not think this happened because a friend signed up a few weeks later and the same thing happened to him. I then signed up for a personal trainer. I only scheduled my sessions with the manager, as recommended by my trainer, and somehow due to their billing cycle and getting scheduled for an extra session in a month I was charged over $100 more than the quoted price. I called and spoke with the manager and they basically told me too bad you have to pay it. No one explained billing cycles and scheduling classes in your billing cycle versus the date the money comes out of my account. I was told by several employees that it is the date I signed up not the billing cycle but now that is my problem and The Edge will do nothing about it. The gym is nice but I honestly would never recommend it because of their sketchy billing and inability to work with the customers and tell them the correct information.
