My wife and I have done our own taxes online up until this year. We started our own business last year and were clueless about how to begin the tax process for that venture. We met with Blake to drop off our information and he provided us with tools and knowledge to make this process easier going forward. Everything was explained in detail, the process was quick and painless, and we look forward to growing this business with them on our side. We'll be going back to them for years to come.

I’m a Banker who moved to Cary from Michigan a few years ago and began searching for a CPA firm that is knowledgeable and also really cares about their clients. The name that kept coming back time and time again was Smith & Smith CPA. I met with them and found their expertise and consultative approach to be exactly what I was looking for!! This was my first time using an accountant to do my taxes. The new tax laws and a change in jobs was making things a little more complicated for me to do my own. I reached out to Becca and she made the process very easy to get her my documents and my file to Blake. Although, it wasn't the best news in terms of tax owed, Blake took a great deal of time to explain everything and make sure I'm set up right for next year. He went above and beyond to understand my particular circumstances and provide sound advice. I would highly recommend.

My husband owns a small business, so we are always pressed for time and stressed about our taxes. Becca and Blake were amazing to work with. Becca was always quick to respond to any question I had, and Blake took the time to go over every inch of our tax returns with us to make sure we understood it all. We will certainly be using them again, from the first minute you can tell they really know their stuff! Having a reliable team like Smith & Smith on our side really takes a huge weight off our shoulders!

I’d done my own taxes for years before becoming associated with the Smith CPA team. They know the tax forms and the laws behind them. Unlike some who unscrupulously claim to provide bigger refunds, the Smith team works to understand my circumstances and finances in order to prepare an honest and thorough tax return. I’ve been associated with the Smith team for over ten years and know they are more than just a quick hit CPA firm. They are well known and well respected within in the greater Cary business community and are active supporters of professional and community services organizations. I highly recommend them for tax return preparation and for other financial services where honesty, integrity and accountability are needed.

I called and asked for guidance on two separate occasions, informing them that I wasn't sure how to proceed, and instead of imparting any wisdom, I was given a very rude response that there "is no magic button.." that will help me and a very callous "Good luck". Apparently, asking for help is stupid. Any free advice or difficult questions that I had asked were because I honestly did not know what is okay to ask and what isn't. They assumed I knew that I was asking too much and gave me attitude. They mistook my ignorance as rudeness when in fact, I truly just did not know what was expected of me. I do not trust them to help educate me and will not be paying for their services.
