They might be amazing CPA’s but we never got that far. My wife and I have always used TurboTax but with the purchase of a new home we thought an actual person would be more helpful. Lilly was friendly enough but absolutely refused to even give me a ballpark of costs to prepare taxes. Even after I assured her that I understand there are variables that affect prices but needed to know if we are talking $200 or $800. She kept insisting we come in to have them review for a quote but it’s just a waste of time if they charge $1,000. Pretty disappointing.

Bob found us thousands of dollars in past year returns after using turbo tax. Very helpful, and explains everything clearly. I feel confident filing our taxes here.

I paid them 500.00 to do my taxes in April and it is now December and apparently the IRS "lost"my return .I have called and asked what to do and they have told me they will send me a paper return to mail and now 2 weeks later I am again calling to ask for it.In my experience the IRS sends you an email confirmation when they receive your income tax return that was filed electronically. Since they are the ones that filed electronically for me I believe they should have gotten confirmation! I'm not impressed .I'm sure I'll end up paying the penalties for mistakes they made!

I have also spent $1000s of dollars in CPA and associated charges at Secuity Tax Services. Unlike Jeff Sherman "was fired?!?", I am extremely satisfied. Or can be satisfied. If you put on your big boy pants and let Bob go to work, and are reasonable, then Bob will have another happy client. If an individual has an entitled outlook, and is not willing to provide information in a timely manner, there is no amount of professionalism that can change that.My personal experience with STS exceeded my expectations. I spent 11 months working with Bob, and his expertise helped me through a very stressful time in my life. Lots of "e x" words aside, I have since successfully recommended him. And my IRS drama is in the past. The fact of the matter is that Bob always made time to return an email or phone call. Even after my service was complete! He did what he said, and was up to date on his tax knowledge. I worked hard to improve my defaulted tax situation, but Bob worked harder. Thanks to Pam as well for her book-keeping.

Security Tax Services has helped my small business succeed amazingly! Our financials were a mess, we were clueless on how to pretty much do any of the financial paperwork, bookkeeping, tax reports, ect. and we were months behind. Pam and Bob were so patient, kind, and helpful, taking the time to not only get to know me and my staff, but also patiently taught us how to run our business correctly! Going into it our books were such a mess and I was pretty much terrified at the idea of what I thought fixing them would involve and cost. I am so so happy that I tried Security Tax Services, after the first meeting that terror was gone and I was actually excited about the STS team being in my company's corner. The work they do is far above and beyond anything accountant firms have done for me in the past. I now use this firm for all of my personal and business needs, and I happily refer all of my friends, business associates, and family to the STS team.

After paying $1,000's in fees to Security Tax Services, I got horrible advice and then was told I am too high maintenance after they misinformed me. They cost me $2,500 in extra IRS penalties due to their incompetence and misinformation they gave me. If you want a CPA who over promises you and fires you as soon as you hold them accountable for their incompetence, then hire Security Tax Services. Otherwise, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere for a professional CPA who has the competence to give good advice and the integrity to acknowledge when/if they make a mistake. I realize not everyone is perfect but the way that Bob handled my issues was very unprofessional and certainly not the character of a person I would want handling my books and taxes.
