NEVER HIRE THESE PEOPLE. PLEASE. I Never ever want this to happen to another person. I wish I could give less than a one star rating. Phoenician Accounting made Tax time HELL for me. Like most people, I don't know much about accounting so I was looking for help but one of their accountants, Vadim out of St ALbert SCREWED ME OVER. He nearly forced me to incorporate my extremely small business. I am a subcontractor and make less that 50k and he thought incorporating would be best. I disagreed but he filed for incorporation anyways. When i brought up my confusion and made it clear that is never what I wanted, he threatened me with collections and tricked me with a meeting but instead gave me a bill. I've never been more confused or more frustrated in my life. I am still dealing with the fallout of his poor business tactics. PLEASE DO NOT HIRE.

I filed my taxes with this company last year and we had an amazing experience with Micheal who unfortunately no longer works there. We went back this year assuming that we will receive the same service but we were wrong. Not only are our taxes still not filed 3 weeks later and after being reassured multiple times they are being filed today, they seemed to be completely uninformed of what things I could claim and were completely disinterested in getting us the most money out of our taxes. Gayan who is the individual who initially dealt with us on our first appointment assigned his assistant to finish our taxes. Unfortunately she does not seem to be qualified for the job. There was so much miscommunication, misunderstanding and time wasted. You are better off filing your taxes on your own. If you are looking for a service like we were who will advice you on what is most beneficial to you when it comes to taxes. This is not the place.

I got them to do my taxes for 2014 and 2015. I got a huge return and was happy at first. Then I got audited and CRA says I owe them 14,000. I am currently paying it off now.

I've been dealing with Phoenician Accounting for many years. Sam and his team are friendly, knowledgeable and professional. When it comes to Tax planning, Sam proved that he is the expert in this field; i'm really pleased with his work and have full trust in his expertise. As a company, they are always on top of things even before the tax season starts, they send email reminders, send tax tips, send checklists to make sure i have all the necessary documents and most importantly they always delivered on time as they promised.I've recommended Phoenician Accounting to my colleagues, friends and family. Really great experience with Phoenician. We highly recommend them. This year we needed to get ourselves a new accountant that would take the time to understand what is going on with our situation and help us to get the best tax return possible. In years previous we had been seeing a private accountant and decided to give Phoenician a try simply because they were conveniently located for us. We popped in and were directed to speak to Sam, who was helpful, and eager to help us out. We primarily had Abbas dealing with our income taxes and he really helped us get to the nitty gritty and dealt with all our spreadsheets in a most efficient manner. Any questions he had he contacted us by phone and email, which I really appreciated that he did both. They literally completed our taxes for this year in less them 72 hours. Plus they used the information from our taxes last year and offered that they could help us out on those ones as well because we felt they were incorrectly filed from our last accountant- right away they saw what was missing and were super great about also completing our taxes for 2015 in record time as well. Cost wise they were a really cost effective switch for us and I felt they offered services better than what our private accountant was offering. I have to put a little shout out to the front desk staff as well who are super friendly and always have a big smile for us when we come in. We are excited to use their services again and won't hesitate to recommend them to our friends and family.

Tax time is not my favourite season not even close, Sam and his team know how to make things simple but make sure to capture every tax saving opportunity. I used to fight with my accountant because I didn't understand what the hell was going on, now I walkin and out without stress done and have learned a thing or two along the way.

Great service and friendly staff :) Got to the point and didn't take long at all finishing my stuff. The location of their office is a bit hidden but if you follow your GPS it really isn't that hard to locate.
