Would never go near this company again.My wife decided to use Mytax to file her tax returns. At the beginning of 2017 we were both students and needed to have a short term job in the holidays to afford the rent for the semester. She did some contract work for an organisation in this short term and earned under $300, taking away withholding tax of around $80The plan was to file for this withholding tax ourselves as an IR3 and recover it. When we filed for a tax refund and Mytax did the IR3 form (which was not outlined well that they would do). They then proceeded to charge $99 to recover her $80 withholding refund. Mytax stole around $20 from us that we were expecting to recover all of as we are still students, trying to afford rent. Unacceptable from a company that promises low fees. Efforts have been made to have a more reasonable fee and outcome, however Mytax is far too greedy to compromise.
