Feedback:

I love LPD all the cops I have come in co Taft with are amazing and are so nice!

Feedback:

Officer Mike was very polite and took care of the issue. Thank you for keeping Leander a safe and great community to live in.

Feedback:

Although the officers were very polite. They need better training on their admin work. I called for help, and when they arrived they ran my license. I am giving 2 stars because the officers took care of my issue. However, I was approached by one of the officers who told me I had a Felony warrant for my arrest and had to go to jail. I was shocked that I had a Felony charge against me and had no idea of any warrant. I cooperated because there is no sense in arguing with the police. When I was at the county jail before the judge he tells me my charge is just a misdemeanor from another county in 2013 and I should have just been notified and allowed to stay at my job. The lead officer that arrested me even confirmed that if it had been a misdemeanor they would let me be on my way. I have 0 trust in the information given to me by the Leander Police department. I was lied to by 3 of their officers, and arrested at my work for no reason according to them and the Williamson County Judge I saw. I would recommend calling a different department out to fact check Leander. They have a bunch of new recruits that seem to have a hard time reading paperwork. This will not be the last I talk about this as it caused me a lot of embarrassment, and almost cost me my job. They may be friendly, but I would prefer professional or experienced instead. I am 34 and was arrested by people younger than me. Overall they we're not very mature, and often we're joking around a lot. I have worked with several police forces in the past, and Leander seems to have a very young group. They need some support from senior leadership to be a little more straight edge. It made me very uncomfortable that they could misread my warrant, and possibly due to their lack of attention to detail. They constantly put their backs to me because I was nice. If I was dangerous one of them could have gotten hurt because they did not follow strict police procedures when making an arrest.

I absolutely hate Leander Police Department if your a minority they are already judging you glad I no longer live out there I met the rudest cop she’s a Hispanic woman badge number ending in 971 she was absolutely terrible and rude

Im suing the Leander Police Dept - Leander Police protect the abusers and harass and discriminate against the abused. A male officer, who took an OATH to "protect and serve" had the nerve to say I assaulted myself when I filed a domestic assult report. He said "Women do it all the time" I have hired an attorney. I'll have my day in court.Update: Go figure, the DA dismissed the charges before I ever saw a day in court.. 1) I submitted evidence, that the officer ignored and 2) I was the VICTIM! I tried to contact the Chief thru email and by phone to file a complaint on the officer but he never responded. I know he was aware of my situation because my attorney contacted them after the dept continued to harass me. I have no respect for LPD anymore.

For All Of You Leander Residents The Leander Police May Seem Like THEY Enforce STRICT Laws And May Push You AROUND BUT That's Your Point A View FROM HOW I SEE IT I Trust These Guys.. I'm Tired Of People Screaming THIS ISN'T FAIR At The Police.. Well Guess What LIFE Isn't Fair .. Just Follow The Law... :)

I see the Leander police vehicles and officers everywhere and that makes me feel secure. They do a lot of community outreach programs in the schools and city events and they go above and beyond the call of duty. Please support Leander PD for any proposed tax increase to help the department financially. Every officer and staff member deserves a top tier salary so we can continue to attract the best of the best to Leander, Texas.

Feedback:

Love the department. And for all the haters out there follow the law and you won't have any problems.

Love being in my hometown, but the cops are something else around here. I'm driving home, just got done with work and some side work I planned out for after. I finally get into leander and cop pulls out from side street and starts following me from 2 cars behind. Well I come up on a two lane intersection, left lane can go straight or left. Right lane can go right. I get in left lane. Stop before railroad tracks. Wait for green. Go straight through intersection. Well they follow me through the intersection so I just immediately pulled over in a nice well lit parking lot before they even turned on their lights. We stop, they turn on lights, creep up on both sides and tell me I'm being stopped for making an illegal turn. "I went straight officer". Yes but you cant go straight in the left lane. "That's the only way you can go straight. Right lane is right turn only." Other officer shrugs and they say they will be waiving that (which first off waving what? Obiding by the rules of the road?) (2243 and 183 light with rr tracks)Then they said my 3rd brake light wasnt working (it was and is). But I just said "ah gotcha". Then they do the whole "you seem nervous" (I absolutely was not. I was calling them officer and man and was completely laid back through the process. I nicely explained that I've been around cops all my life. "No reason for me to be nervous, I understand what you're getting at. Yes you may search my car." They laugh and one officer starts searching my car while I hang back and talk to the other officer. Honestly, may have just been my perception of it, but the whole time hes asking me if I could fix his apple watch and asking me about the stickers on my car, asked about my fiance. He even asked how I pulled over and knew they were gonna stop me. But the weird thing is, everything he had to say sounded like he was upset he didn't catch me for anything and decided to have a pissing match with words instead. "I just bought another watch when mine broke" cool story after asking me if I could fix it for 5 minutes. It got to the point that I told him "you probably couldnt pay me enough to work on that watch. " Which was good timing cause the officer finished searching my car. Gave me the okay to sit in my car again. I do so then another cop shows up. So they called in another vehicle for transport before they even finished the search. lol. I waited for them to search my license ten more times before I could finally finish the (literally 40 yards from my house) drive home. But before I left, I asked the guy genuinely "so be honest with me man, whyd you stop me tonight? Just youngin in a mustang past dark or what?" "This time of night, we look for anyone we can pull over. Were trying to cut down on drunk drivers and get some drug arrests." So let's get something clear, cops DO NOT need a reason to pull you over. They will make it up as they go. The narrative will be controlled by the officer (for the most part) every time. If the good old boys wanna stop you, they will, and no they dont have to have a reason. They have to have a reason to arrest you of course. But realistically, if you're 23 in a fast car past dark, you're suspicious. Glad to be home. Be safe out there people!
