i was given a price of £2k to do my accounts.The first year was £4.5k i was told this was because they had to do extra work my old accountant had not done. Second and last year, another bill of £4.5k and terrible bookkeeping,not recording a lot of sales leaving me with a massive vat bill and 2 days to pay. Get a fixed price and check there work if you choose to use them ! Would like to also point out that my old accountant had no issues with invoices and my new account also cannot see what they had a problem with. There was no extra work involved we are a small bathroom fitting company and accounts cost £2k a year all in.
