I have been at Guthrie Job Corps Center since November of 2017. The first few weeks were really exciting and the staff was very respectful. I have completed my trade, and now I'm currently enrolled in college through the center. Now, that only means that I go to college and the center provides me a bed, meals, and transportation. This place is a joke. Even though the college students wake up at 5 am, leave no later than 6:30 am and do not get back until 8 sometimes 9 at night is ridiculous. The food is unhealthy in every way possible. The Residential Advisors are disrespecful and challenge their authority in any way, they will go to extremes to make your life miserable. I once got a write up for wearing shorts in 104° heat outside. They fabric ended at my fingertips when my hands were by my side, which is the rule, but a bitter woman named Mrs. Best still gave me a write up....for shorts. They expect you to act like adults, which we are, but we get treated like children. I do not recommend this place to anyone. My mistake was making a two year commitment for college. I should have completed out when I completed my trade to get my completion money. Now they won't give me my completion money until I finish college 😂 Everything about this place screams hell. This center is very unprofessional, unproductive, and unorganized. Do NOT come here. Job corps is a great program, but this center is not the one you would want to be at.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! I have been at Guthrie Job Corps Center for a total of 4 months and I am currently still enrolled. There is way too much violence, drugs, bullying, and worse things than that. The staff here is really rude, and do not care whether students complete the program or not. All they care about is getting paid. The meals here are horrible and bad for the body, The Red Door is completely unorganized, and none of our medical needs are met. The admissions counselors will tell you that this is a great place, but they are just lying. Seriously, a prison takes care of their prisoners better than we are. Everything about this review is true.

Focus on what your there for and you will accomplish your goals Loose focus lost goals. You make job corp don't let it make you. You choose ur friends don't let the choose you. Its all up to you. No matter how bad the staff is. This gets u ready to be out on ur own, for those kids who don't wish to stay with family.

When I was first in attendance the population was smaller and therefore less cramped for space, food, time waiting in lines etc. Security has also been steadily becoming heavier and heavier on campus making the place feel less like a trade school and more like a prison. I was on the older side of the age limit to be in attendance and felt a lil isolated because of that but nothing to cry about. All in all it was a pretty decent experience but the cafeteria needs to work on their sanitation skills. I wouldn't say I hated my time there but it wasnt that enjoyable either. Which is kinda sad because the place has the potential to be pretty great if they would stop treating children like criminals and actually attempt to teach them.

This place is lit asf 🔥 if you find positive people , your time here will be awesome, some staff really care about the students people with negative reviews are the same people who are disrespectful Nd always in drama . DONT GET INTO ANY RELATIONSHIP HERE ! A lot of std on campus.

I attended from Oct of 2013 to Dec of 2014 and it's just a Low security, educational prison. students are never paid what's promised. Treated like garbage by staff Who abuse their power. I was completed out of the program to make room for others and give the higher ups a bonus but never received the completion money I earned. Very few redeeming noteworthy qualities. Job corp is a fabulous idea, this particular one has a terrible center director who simply doesn't do her job. Go to a different job Corp.

I am currently in the Guthrie job corps and its terrible. Illegal drugs all over campus, bad food for lunch, bad lunch servers, bad teachers and no staff actually really helps. Job corps is not for 16-17 year old minors. I have completed the program at the age of 17 and cant do anything but work fast food or retail. They don't give you your diploma until a month or two after you graduate and you don't even start trade or high school until you've been on campus for 2 months. The program is mainly to make money and they will hold as much money back from you as possible. They also take out money from your checks so you really don't even get $25 every 2 weeks, you get $23 and if you leave for the weekend they deduct for traveling fee. This place isn't what people think. Its changed dramatically since i first came which was on June 24th of 2018. I am just telling the truth about the program so you don't make the same mistake as a minor. I don't know to much about other job corps nut Guthrie is not it. AT ALL.
