Client Review on Great Lakes Energy Cooperative

Feedback:

My power was disconnected last week. After calling and speaking with an incompetent client services supervisor I was told there would be a $40 reconnect fee and a $100 deposit. All because my bank account was hacked and I was waiting for my new debit card from my Detroit based bank to arrive to my up north address. The most frustrating part was I received an email on August 14 saying my bill was due on September 3. And my power was shut off on August 29. After receiving a call back from the VP of Customer Service on August 30 and her admitting to the email saying the bill was not due till September 3 she offered to waive the $100 deposit, but said she sill had to charge the $40 reconnect fee. Am I confused or what.....how does a company take advantage of 'member owners' like this? I'm willing to offer my consulting services in client satisfaction free of charge to this non profit organization. Remember this FAWTSY: Find A Way To Say Yes. Its the golden rule in customer service.
