Client Review on Downey Tax Company

I am very sad to have to write a negative review on a business that seems to have so much positive feedback. I decided to file my income tax return with this company based on their awesome reviews. Scheduling the appointment was fairly easy and fast, filing was also fairly easy Ámbar Espino did our income tax filing. We were missing some documents which I understand it’s on us. However they took days before even sending us a link to their portal to upload the documents. Once we received it we had issues with their portal and had to upload documents multiple times, it literally took us like 2 hours to upload simple documents. After submitting what we were missing we receive an email from Ámbar acknowledging that she received the documents but stating she would be out the office for a few days and therefore would not be able to submit our return until several days later. At this point my wife was just disappointed with the way the company is structured, if you have personal issues have someone else take over and submit the paperwork!!! I contacted their office and spoke to Daisy Alvarez a manager there I believe. She provided good customer service apologizing and letting me know she could submit my return. At this point I appreciated how she handled the situation and expressed my gratitude to her.Today I received a letter from the IRS stating the rejected my direct deposit due to the fact that they cannot deposit more than two refunds into the same bank account. This is new to me, I have never had any issue before.I assumed, well Downey tax company are the pros let me give them a call. I called,the guy that answers the phone is very professional yet very RUDE!. Yes it is possible to be both, he is the perfect example.I spoke to Daisy Alvarez again and her response to my issue was “I do not know, I have never heard of this before” at that point I decided to call the IRS myself and figure this out. My advice to you is DO NOT BELIEVE ALL THE POSITIVE REVIEWS... she offered to contact the IRS and try to find out but at this point I’m ready to steer away from this company. If you still decide to file your income tax with them, may the force be with you, because if anything happens THEY DO NOT KNOW.
