I'll change my review when whoever stole the game of thrones book we dropped off for my brother returns it and lets him have it. Hes been asking for days, weve asked, still no book- something we paid for him to have. Very clear a worker took it for themselves. It was in his bag of clothes, which he recieved, but with no book. Ridiculous.

Please, find another facility who will truly care about your recovery! This place needs to be investigated. I had a loved one enter this facility of his own volition due to a prescription medication addiction. All seemed okay until he transferred from detox to recovery. He had only 4 group meetings in 4 days and was made to spend the vast majority of his time sitting in his room, access to the TV room was denied after the first few days with no reason given. Meals were skipped, phone calls and visitations were denied. The few phone calls allowed had a counselor ready to disconnect the call if anything was said not to their liking. The clients are made to take sleep aids at bedtime. Many of the staff are extremely condescending or ignore clients altogether. When he had finally had enough and decided to seek treatment at a better facility, they attempted to detain him against his will. When that wasn’t going to work because another family member was waiting to take him, the director for recovery proceeded to yell and curse at both him and my other family member, telling him that she hoped he relapsed and overdosed! There is much more that, unfortunately, is too much to write for this forum. But take my advice and do not use this facility, it’s not a good place.

I can not say enough good things about my sons change. He has grown so much. His councilor emails me right back and my son loves him. My son gets out April 1, 2016 and I will report back as time goes on so I can give a more thorough report. i am a former client who recently completed the ACT program. i just wanted to give a shout out to the entire act team from the director, Tracy to my counselor Stacie and everyone in between! (kayla and rob). Everyone in ACT was extremely supportive and genuinely cared about not only the well being of myself, but all the clients in act. it is frustrating being in a program that is controlled by the state, however the drive and determination by the counselors to keep me as long as they possibly could made it all the better. the only negative i have is I often felt that ACT was looked down upon within DIAD by STS (the private insurance program). we were often referred to as the “state clients” and “criminals”, but i can say the entire ACT team and other employees at DIAD never made act or me feel that way. ACT team treated me with respect, and most importantly i felt like a human being again. THANK YOU discovery for saving my life. especially you STACIE, i can never thank her or ACT team enough...

I’ve worked at Discovery Institute for over 3 months now and have seen nothing but amazing results! It’s an absolute joy to see the light of hope return to someone’s eyes after a few days, the staff bends over backwards to attend to the clients needs and is always around if a client needs anything, even if it means working a few extra hours or checking in on clients on their days off. I’ve seen many success stories in the short time I’ve worked for this Institute and look forward to seeing many more!!

Worst Rehab ever! Staff is Terrible! My belongings were stolen, counselors dont care about your recovery, and Favoritism is the big one. You have a nice facility, however the staff is the worst, and very unprofessional.

Great facility that know what they are doing. If you are suffering from addiction or mental illness, I highly recommend this place. Only reason I’m not able to give 5 stars is because I received bad / none after care.

my stay at disovery although short was very helpful in my recovery the counselors were great the staff very helpful the addmissions coordinators were very knowlegable.I highly recommend this facility to anyone that really wants to better their lives and those in it.-Anonymous

As a person in long term recovery from heroin addiction as well as being in the substance abuse field for a few years. I must say that this facility is such a family oriented facility where all staff treats you as one of there own family members. I highly recommend this place for any loved ones seeking to take back there life from addiction
