As my family and I searched for a new location to move to pre-retirement. Our young children are now transitioning into college activities and we do not need to be where we were. We have been searching for property/community that either on or near a body of water since our family love boating and particularly fishing the fresh water of California. We found Discovery Bay just by chance using google map as we were tracing the Delta outline and you can see the communities that were present. We were already looking at other areas such as Clear Lake, Hidden Valley and as far south as Central Valley. This would be our 4th home that our family have sold and bought over the years. We have been represented by another agent in the area we have lived. Needless to say, finding a new agent and building trust would be a challenge let alone the right home and location. While searching online, we came upon Chris' website and made our initial contact. Within 15 minutes, Chris responded and we were able to schedule our first meeting with a tour of Discovery Bay community with one of Chris' assistant as he was out of town. Over the course of 6 months going back and forth as we were busy getting our previous home for listing and at the same time trying to figure out where to move to. As with many people looking to move to a new area, we had a million questions and one. But the most important question for us was whether we can build a relationship with Chris who is a new agent for our family? Over the 6 months courtship, Chris continue to show his professionalism and attentive to detail on what the transaction and our expectation should be as we are making our decision for a new community. And Chris answered all of my one million and one questions. Chris was able to help us secure an offer with contingency of the sale of our home. From the initial docu-sign through escrow and inspectaion, Chris helped us complete our tasks and met all of our requirement. As we closed on our purchase, Chris helped us with all of the necessary references for the work that we wanted done to our new home. These are referrals that Chris worked with over the years and have had work done on his own property. Trust is very key to our family and we were lucky to have worked with Chris and his team.
