Feedback:

We have been going to Burlington Business Solutions for the past 11 years and have been so happy with Jennifer and her staff. Jen always ensures our taxes are done quick and efficiently, she's very knowledgeable! We have recommended her to several of our friends and family and they have become happy regular customers as well.

Feedback:

We went to Jennifer Hodder to have our taxes prepared for $130 in February. She incorrectly prepared our refund, resulting in a $2,000 shortage of refund (found when we had our taxes redone) and incorrect spelling of a dependent's name. We were notified the following day that it would have to be paper filed because the SSNs of two dependents had already been used in their mother's filing and Ms. Hodder required additional signatures which she emailed. We signed and emailed these documents to her within the hour. Three weeks later, we received a phone call from her office, asking what we wanted done about our taxes, which they had STILL not filed, claiming to have not received the signatures. At this time, we informed them that we would handle our taxes ourselves, as their service had been sloppy and unprofessional and would require a refund from them for the service they failed to completely provide. Upon calling back to obtain said refund, we were told that "since services were rendered, she is not offering a refund". Services were, in fact, NOT completed and she is now withholding our money despite not completing the services that were promised (i.e. filing our taxes)! A BBB complaint has been filed and we will be taking legal action against Ms. Hodder for her tax preparation fraud.

My husband and I have used Jennifer's expertise for years, and the reason is: she is a consummate professional who knows how to do the best job for her clients. When my husband passed away in October of 2016, I knew I could trust Jennifer to guide me through some rough terrain. Her combined compassion and expertise made a difficult undertaking doable. I feel very fortunate to have her as my accountant.

We highly recommend Jen Hodder! She not only does our business but personal accounting. She is very thorough, knowledgeable, and friendly! She is always available to answer any questions we may have and she also teaches us the best ways to organize our business to make it easier on us. Went to Jennifer with back taxes and when she was done, I owed 24,000.00, Took my returns to another accountant who was referred to me and found out, Jennifer didn't write off a lot of things that could have saved me thousands of dollars. My New account amended my IRS returns that Jenifer prepared and I did save thousands. Business Solutions is a waist of money.

When using this company you need to expect for them to talk to you and treat you however they want. There is no professionalism at all. The company is ran off he say she say, they do not keep records of what's being said nor do they give you anything stating the fee, this leaves room for them to say I told you this or that even if they can not remember if they actually did. The way Stephanie at the front desk talks to clients is horrible. She is very nasty acting and will yell at you and also take your money and then tell you to leave. Stephanie is very unprofessional and unorganized so don't expect her to be much help to you if needed.The owner Jennifer is no better then Stephanie, after telling her how rude her staff member was while she wasn't in the office she took Stephanie's side and and was just as rude as her employee. If that's how Jennifer acts then it's no surprise that Stephanie was so rude knowing that her boss would back her up. I was considering using Jennifer's company for additional services for my very own business but I would not refer anyone to use this company UNLES you do not care how you are treated, talked too, or how professional your matter is handled. Jennifer stated she had been in business for over 20 years so I guess to her that means the clients no longer matter because she has her long term clients already and I was new but I would have appreciated if she would have told me I was going to be treated like I was nothing before hand then I could have took my needs elsewhere and paid someone else. You do not take a clients money for a service and talk to them and treat them like they are nothing then when you bring the problem to their attention they act as though they do not have time for it.Jennifer and Stephanie you should never judge a book by it's cover if you haven't learned this by now, or maybe you don't care because you have been in business for "over 20years". I have never seen a employee treat a customer like I did on 3/18/14 in my life, then to bring it to the attention of the owner and the owner act just as ignorant. Stephanie needs to go to school and learn business etiquette and professionalism and Jennifer if you have been in business so long you would know that when your front desk person is rude and ignorant that it effects your business and is a representation of you. BUT you know it all, thanks for taking my money for a service and treating me like nothing at the sametime.I will never refer anyone too you and I will make sure they know how you treat your clients. Thanks
