This might be the most incompetent bank I have experienced. Their drive thru hasn't worked in probably more than a year. They are severely understaffed and even when they have staff present I have witnessed them stay in the side room chit chatting or prioritizing finishing a task over coming to assist a customer. At a recent visit, I tried to deposit $1,500 for rent, but put $1,400 on my deposit slip from habit, which they just raised. I watched the teller count the money in front of me, and she handed me my reciept saying I had deposited $1,400, which made me immediately realize. Granted this was a mistake on my part, but arent they supposed to catch that. When I came right back and told her what she happened, she told me that she counted and that she didn't do anything wrong. I insisted I gave her the $1,500 and asked if she could count the drawer. She finally apologized when she realized she didn't count right. The line is always so long, and the wait is on a good day 10 min. If you need to see a banker, go elsewhere. The wait is incredible. My fiance waited an hour and a half to get a card that he was supposed to receive, but never got one. To be fair, usually the staff is nice, which is the only redeeming quality.

Understaffed. BMO Harris also has some of the least convenient hours, which together with low competence of bankers, starts to make banking with them a huge waste of my time. Also, any changes to my acct must be performed at the branch I opened the acct at, which is super weird. And with their short hours, It is real hard to bank with them.They try though. They are very nice. Not very well trained, but nice.I may be moving on. I just cant spare an hour every Saturday morning to take care of my account....In reply to the BMO reply: they will not address anything with the branch manager. The branch manager is on leave, which is a part of the problem. Bad hours are not the manager's issue. Thanks for a meaningless reply tho.

Just horrific in every respect. If and when they answer the phone every person who works for this company will give you a different answer. Everything they do takes forever and every answer they give proves incorrect later. I'm beyond tired of dealing with them. I don't know if they receive a perverse thrill from lying to me or if it's just a result of incredibly poor training that no two answers are the same, and they really don't know what they're talking about.. It's a shame that customer service appears to be a foreign concept for them, but I guess that's what happens when you deal with Bank of Montreal.
