Yesterday was probably the most hardest days of my life I was about to brake down with my 7wk Old grandson in the car and just made it off the interstate onto a road in Wilson.I went to Google the closest place that could possibly repair me before I broke down completely he refused me because I wasn't a foreign car my vehicle was domestic and told me he could call me a tow.I said I'll just try to make it the 6miles as close as I can to the next shop that does service the vehicles that you referred me to.Only 2 miles away from that next shop I broke down on the road I got lucky and a man and a woman decided they were going to assist me to try to fix the vehicle enough to get it to the nearest tire shop.It wasn't long after that this very nice Sheriff decided she was going to pull over to see if everything was okay and while I was waiting for them to return with the tools she kept her flashes on in back of me and she remained with me the entire time until the car was complete she even went out of her way to follow me as I followed them to the nearest repair shop for my vehicle.I am an out-of-towner to Wilson and I was very disappointed by the way I was treated by the first shop that I tried to get help from being refused even a simple Service as to check my tire that was modeling and acting funny for the safety of myself and grandchild only to have it come apart on the road because he refused to service me at that shop. But this nice female Sheriff and pedestrians that are local made me feel a lot better and I was able to get my car repaired enough to get back home.

The current admin has always answered any questions I have had and guided me through processes that were lost upon me. I have never "been in trouble," so obviously have not had any bad experiences with the WCSO.

The Wilson Co. Sheriff responded today at 1830h for a dog being hit on 795 outside of Fremont, NC. I was the first civilian on scene, as the Sheriff arrived. This Sheriff showed severe humanity and compassion for the accident that occured and this dog's life. His morals and the way he handled the situation prevented any other civilians being injured, and saved the life of an animal that I now have rescued. I can not thank this officer enough for his professionalism today. The puppy "Bear" will now find a forever home and live the rest of his life happy and healthy, instead of being another road kill. This sheriff's ability to lead and control this situation, who most would have not thought twice off, shows why I hold him in such respect, and wish only the best for him. I can never thank this man enough. If this reaches him, me, my husband and "Bear" owe you a gratitude that we can never repay. PS: If at all possible, when "Bear" is healthy, his new owners would love to shake your hand and let you meet him.

After reading the reviews for the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, I must say ALL of them are irrelevant. To begin, the WCSO doesn’t work for the Magistrate’s office and vice-versa. Both offices don’t fraternize each other because that wouldn’t be fair for the defendant. Therefore, all the working hours and personnel working for the Magistrate office doesn’t pertain to the WCSO and their reviews. Next, who is “Chance”? His father was coming to get him from where? What happened? It’s obvious this person making the review doesn’t know how to compose one. How about, “had a terrible experience with the process from the ANIMAL ENFORCEMENT of Wilson County because on this date… blah blah, and the cat’s name is Chance which he didn’t have a chance to live blah blah blah,” which brings me to my next point. Three of the reviews are meant for the AE, not the WCSO. There are prudent discussion and reviews to make for WCSO than a kitten that was put down. Furthermore, the speculation and exaggeration of “kill everything that comes into your shelter” is false. There’s a grace period and an adopt a pet website just for the AE. Moving to the next review, I cannot comprehend the entire story of “those dogs” and “the first family” Who? What? Where? When? And How exactly? Was it the neighbor’s dog? A stray dog? Your review doesn’t make any sense. Quit blaming the Law Enforcement for everything. If the owner had a dog that was dangerous to society, you could of easily petition to remove the dog from its owner or press civil charges on the owner. I can find a better yelp review on Wendy’s fast food restaurant with real critique and overall experience with the company.Digressing to a review on WCSO. Need more personnel and funding for better equipment and training. Overall experience was indifferent. There, it was that simple people.

Feedback:

You have failed the people of Wilson county for allowing those dogs to live and maul two more people after that little boy with autism and his mother were mauled. You did not ensure that the Dangerous dog ordinance was followed. You allowed the first family to be terrorized by knowing those dogs were alive and well, playing at the attack site and allowing it to happen again. But then you euthanize a small kitten that could have been rehabilitated IF it really needed to be rehabilitated or was just acting in fear. Two minors were mauled, the mother of the April attack is also a soldier in the National Guard. Way to support your troops! Way to support your citizens and keeping them safe. That mother showed more courage than you probably would have when she jumped on top of her son. I am sure the governor is ecstatic that you allowed this to happen to his soldier and her family and to the family of last week's mauling.

Feedback:

I'd truly like to know as to why nobody followed up with the two Rottweiler's that had been deemed as dangerous on whether that rescue was following the directive of that ruling. Why after the first mauling attack in April were those dogs even returned?

Feedback:

Can somebody explain why Chance was killed? You knew his father was coming to get him. Now youve killed a kitten that had numerous rescues wanting to take him BEFORE he was even put into the shelter. If all youre going to do is kill everything that comes into your shelter, just close it down. Terrible shelter run by a person that doesnt give a rats ass about anything but his ego.
