In this review I am responding to the owner's response at their other Las Vegas location. In their response they claimed that I was lying when I stated that they listed me as 1% ownership and 49% ownership and that they did the same for my business partner as well on the schedule K-1 of form 1065. I have attached 2 pictures to this review to indicate that I am not lying. This is an illegal practice to boost people's tax returns by evading self employment tax. Furthermore, they indicated that I posted a bad review simply as retribution because I was upset. That is not the case. I posted a review because this practice is illegal and it is my moral obligation to speak up so that others don't have legal problems. If they had contacted me and owned up to this (rather than state falsehoods about myself) and ensured me that they were stopping this practice I would have been glad to erase the negative review as a warning would no longer be needed. In fact, if they made it right I might have even changed it to a positive review. Anyone can view my Google profile and see that all my other reviews of other establishments are 5 stars, so I do not engage in posting reviews as retribution. They also claimed that they dismissed me as a client. This is true, however I was already on the way out after that tax year was finished. I have been working with Arlint CPA since and they are awesome! I would recommend them to everyone!Update: For some reason Google will not let me attach photos, so I have added them on Yelp. I hardly ever leave negative reviews, but this place (Henderson location) has been nothing but a headache. We chose this place because of the positive reviews. We filed our annual tax with them last year with Jason - no problem. We filed with them this year in March. Jason, who did our taxes again, said he'll have them done in a week. We didn't hear anything from them for 4 weeks. When my husband finally called, they said our taxes were ready for us to sign (note: they didn't call us. We had to call them). We signed right away. 4-6 weeks later, we get a letter from the IRS saying there was an error in our filing. I contacted the firm right away and was told Jason will get back to us within 2-3 days. The letter stated that it was time sensitive and they needed a response within 12 days so I told the firm that 2-3 days response time was not acceptable. The receptionist said she'll make it urgent and then I later got a call saying to email the letter, which I did right away. Then I did not get a response for another few days and I had to call AGAIN to get an update. I was told the error was on the IRS part and the firm responded and took care of it. It has now been over 4 weeks since that last call. No check. No phone calls. No emails. I called the firm a week ago to get an update. No response. I called again today and just got voicemail (and it wasn't their lunch hour). This is the WORST tax service we have ever encountered. We filed 4 months ago and this is completely unacceptable.

We have used Unique Accounting for over 5 years now, to manage our personal and business taxes. We moved to them after we had an unfortunate bad experience with another tax consultant in town. We were looking for a company that was honest and transparent and would our best interest when completing our taxes. They are all of this! They have always been available to talk when needed and we personally meet with the owner when we meet for our yearly tax appointment. We have been very happy with their services.

Unique Accounting is an amazing firm. I had been working with a CPA for the last couple of years and felt that I was getting buried with taxes. After searching and interviewing multiple firms I landed on Unique Accounting and couldn't be happier. Jason reviewed my previous years tax returns and quickly found that my old CPA wasn't helping me where they could have been. He was able to amend my returns and save me a lot of money. His staff has always been quick to respond and they have been very efficient for me. Anytime I have a question they are willing to chat and getting an appointment is very easy. Jason and his team at Unique know what they are doing and are very straight forward. I would not hesitate referring them out! I really appreciate all that you guys do!

Let me start by saying that this review is way overdue. Unique Accounting in Las Vegas has been doing my taxes since tax year 2013. They are kind, professional and extremely knowledgeable, and their rates are fair and affordable. But what I love most about them is that they do so much more than just tax preparation- they actually take the time to explain and educate their clients about current tax laws, and how they apply to their individual situations. They truly care about the future success of their clients, and that’s so rare these days! They helped me set up my corporation a couple of years ago when I started my own small business, and as a result, my business is thriving in ways I never imagined. I highly recommend Unique Accounting for all of your tax needs, and can honestly say that I will never again consider going anywhere else. Thanks Jason and Sheila
