I wish I could give a negative stars to this establishment. Their Loop Office placed me at a client (and lied about how great they were and that they placed three prior temps there) However, they neglected to say that those 3 were not there and I had to endure homophobic and verbal abuse. The final insult from Salem is that they blacklisted me from ever working there despite the fact that the assignment was Employee at Will (they can fire me) but Employee at Will is a two-way street and I can leave without notice. But being the professional that I was, I told Salem I couldn't stay there a minute longer and explained the situation. My Salem rep had the nerve to ask (after hearing what I had to say) if I could stay there just "a little longer?" I told her that if I did, they would definitely lose a client because I would fight back if I was abused again. Salem might have capability to place people on assignments, but don't care about those people. Not once did they ever ask how the assignment was going when I dropped off my timesheet.

If I can give this place 0 stars I would.First of all, the process took over two weeks.I had told the recruiter heather about why it was taking so long to get the position after my interview with a company and all she’d do was give me excuses and then apologize and say she’d call right back when she’d get a call back from the employer.. guess what? I never got a call back.I called a few days later and she told me that unfortunately, they weren’t going to move forward with my application. I ask myself then why did I have to take a Math test, an English test and typing test? I excelled in all three tests, heather even told me to go get my drug test done. Nothing. Waste of time, waste of gas. DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL.

I went to the salem in oakbrook terrance IL. I spoke to a recruting person named kim. When i went in for my interview she seemed nice and all. The only reason i drove all the way out there was because she told me she had a job ready for me. She told me i would hear from her later on that night or monday at the latest. Monday came i called her later in the day she told she hadnt heard back from the people at the job. Its been a week been calling her often for them only to give me the run around. When i call and ask for Kim they tell me she went to the bathroom always in the bathroom or shes at lunch. I called just today 2/26/19 they told me she was at lunch again i told the peraon i would call back which i did only to find out she supposedly got in a car accident. I dont appreciate being lied to and getting the cold shoulder and ignoring. If Kim didndt have any jobs avaliable then she should have not made me waste my gas to drive an hour there and an hour back. Very unprofessional and rude. If i went there its because i really need the job.
