I guess I am the only one who isn't geeking out over this place. They were really crapppy toward me. There doesn't seem to be any resource in this city to use computers for the general public, or especially for disabled people. The library ain't it either. That place is a nightmare from helll.This spot was a huge letdown. Rude snotty guy with glasses turned me away and had the ballls to try and keep my information/application anyway. Nope dude. Try again.How about you guys turn on your AC while you are at it, and not insist it's working? Clearly you have it turned off.I tried to alert them to the issues with that bogus sheet they give you, what a shocker it's BS!Update: This hoar called my cell phone today, 9/25/2018, and berated me for leaving a message on somebody's voicemail who was out of town. It was my fault nobody called me for weeks. She stressed that upfront. Then she said I needed to explain myself to her. Demanded it. I hung up in her face. F##k that. Go to helll and start acting like a professional. This place is complete craap.The worst.

Open before the library and can use the computers all day for job hunts. They need to warm up the place though. Otherwise there there to help you.

Last week Katy Cochrane, a childhood friend the past 40 years, told me about the SBRC. I walked in and met with Rosa Mena, who assisted in bringing my resume' to perfected life. She gave me a USB stick to put my resume' on so I may update it when needed. She also had me log onto CalJobs' site and connect them with my resume'. Yesterday I met with Laura Barbeau, another Program Advisor, who helped me hone my strengths in the job arena. She said companies contact the SBRC when looking for specific employees and these jobs aren't posted on the Internet. Being a part of the SBRC's team, I'll locate the job tailor made for me ~ and I won't have to be on a cash register! For those in search of inexpensive, professional clothing for when you mean business, head to Goodwill on Hilltop Drive. For the best kept job-hunting secret in Shasta County, walk into the peaceful and resourceful Smart Business Resource Center ~ FREE to the public and NO appointment necessary!

I think that this program is a great program for people looking for work and people looking to change their work. it is a wonderful example of how our tax dollars really are at work. you always get the help that you need and there are a lot of resources out there that people can use for free to help better your job or career search.
