I just received a phone call from Eric Sloan threatening that if this review is still online by the morning, then he is going to his lawyers and "don't even care if I win." He said "I will give my lawyers $5000 to make your life as difficult as possible." I wonder how many other people he has threatened to rescind their reviews. The ONLY supposed inaccuracy that he mentioned was about the amount of time took them to get our payroll started. Fine, thats not the point of this review anyway. We'll agree to disagree and i will leave that part out. So here it is, the truthful review that I wrote based on my experiences and opinions that I have a legal right to share on this platform: Whatever you do, dont ask about the status of your tax documents. Heres the story: Things Started out well, my family uses this CPA so I thought I would too. EVERY time i called, they NEVER call me back. I always have to go there in person to get a response. This year, I had all my tax info to them before the electronic file date, they said they would e-file it on the 30th of January. I called 2 weeks later to check the status of it, because the IRS site said they didn't have it, and they said they sent it out on the 6th (A week after they were supposed to do it because there was a time sensitive issue). Two weeks after that, I checked with the IRS, and they said they didn't have it. When I went in to find out what's going on, since they didn't call me back (again), I was pulled into a little meeting room by Eric and told that if I ever implied that he didn't do his job again, I would be looking for a new CPA. When I said "excuse me?" He said it again, then opened the door and told my father (who has NOTHING to do with my personal taxes) that he won't do any further CPA work for my father's business. He was just there to pay his bill!! Then as I walked out the door I heard him tell my father that I am a "prick". I never once raised my voice until he called be a prick and brought my father into it. There is NO excuse or reason to treat a customer that way. I was simply trying to find out if there was a problem with the taxes or if there was an issue submitting them. Electronic communications get lost all the time. This was very uncalled for and unprofessional.
