Feedback:

Robert Schriebman is without a doubt the most knowledgeable tax attorney. Some people read the books well he wrote them. My companies experience with Robert was very positive. He was able to resolve our issues with out any additional tax's or penalties.I highly recommend Robert Schriebman

Feedback:

Mr Robert Schriebman is the best attorney for any EDD issues. I went to him when we were audited and he helped and advised me on what was the best to do. Although the process took some time he was able to get us a settlement that was a fraction of our assessment and he was able to get us on a payment plan with the EDD so we didn’t have to come up with all the money at once. I hope to never have another issue with the EDD again but if I did I would definitely use Mr Schriebman again and I would recommend him to everyone that has a tax issue. Best Tax Lawyer !!!

Feedback:

I highly recommend hiring Robert Schriebman to handle your EDD Audit. Before I consulted with him, I was not prepared for what was to come. After hiring Robert, he educated me on what I needed to do, gave me clear guidelines on what I needed to put together to prove my case, and held my hand through the entire process. The end result was the best possible news ever, NO ASSESSMENT and NO CHANGE IN MY BUSINESS MODEL. I truly believe that Robert's guidance and efforts helped me. We went in so strong and the exercises he had me to do prepare were brilliant. He is worth every penny. It is a long and stressful experience and you need him.

Feedback:

I cant thank Robert enough for the help he provided me. The EDD was being completely unreasonable with their collection efforts and a friend recommended seeing Robert so I did, he was on the phone with my case worker from the EDD within 15 minutes of my visit and I instantly felt a comfort level and confidence that released a huge burden from me. He was able to negotiate a very reasonably installment agreement for me and I would highly recommend him for any of your tax needs. Thanks again Robert, you are the best!

Feedback:

Outstanding lawyer for EDD issues. Had an issue with the EDD that we did not agree with. Bob was extremely helpful in resolving the matter efficiently and to our satisfaction. Would highly recommend him.

Feedback:

I have to start by saying THANK YOU!!!! Robert, I was so sick I lost 10 pounds in a week just thinking about this problem I had with the EDD and not having anyone that really knew what they were doing was making it worst, I hired 3 different types of lawyer I thought would help a tax lawyer an employment lawyer and a business lawyer and it was expensive. I spend countless time looking online about other people that had the same problem and I read countless articles and finally I came across Roberts website. I was not sure at first and I called and got a call back right away. I got a consultation. I have to admit it was not fancy he is a very down to earth gentleman and did not have all the sales tactics or shiny shoes and suits I got from my very expensive (none-performance lawyers) I'm still mad at them. However I took a chance, he was a straight forward guy like I said not fancy toll me what to expect and he was honest VERY REFRESHING, needless to say it took a while and I would check in now and then was not sure how it would turned out. He kept telling me to be patient and wham !!! I got a deal he was able to negotiate it down to where is was more manageable and got me installments to pay it off. Like I said THANK YOU ROBERT !!!!

Feedback:

We went to 2 other lawyers before Robert and they were not able to get any traction with the EDD, so we were skeptical to say the least to find ANOTHER lawyer. Besides, we and didn't want to spend any more. Robert's consultation was thorough and helpful. He knew who to call at the EDD and within a short time he had the enormous amount the EDD was charging reduced to a mere fraction because of his tax knowledge and long time relationships with the folks at the EDD. We wish we had gone directly to him in the beginning! We would have saved so much time and money!! Absolutely worth every penny!

Feedback:

My law firm was targeted by the EDD with a completely bogus investigation. But, my potential exposure to these vultures was hundreds of thousands of dollars, not to mention the time and energy I and my employees would have to expend to fight it.. Bottom line -- Bob Schriebman saved the day, charged me a reasonable flat fee and engineered a very inexpensive settlement. I can't recommend him highly enough, even if, like me, you are completely innocent of any wrongdoing. Ironically, my firm specializes in employment law, and in misclassification of workers as independent contractors ("IC's) and we have been the lawyers in several influential court of appeal cases. We understand fully the difference between IC's and employees and would never misclassify any workers. That didn't stop the EDD though. In our case, a lawyer who had worked for us on an IC basis made a claim for unemployment benefits for her work at a different firm where she had been a W2 employee. As required, she told the EDD that she had worked for my firm as an IC. The EDD investigated, and granted her claim for benefits -- but decided that she was not an employee of the firm where she worked as a W2 employee, but was an employee of my firm, where she had been an IC - even though she maintained her own separate office, worked whatever hours she wanted, and received no supervision. (Bob told me this is common: the EDD grants a worker's questionable even untenable, claim for benefits, then targets the firm that hired them.) When the EDD told me they were auditing me I thought it was a mistake. And, because I'm a lawyer, I thought I could probably handle it myself. But, I checked the web looking for information and in doing so I found Bob's website which contains tons of valuable information about EDD issues. I was so impressed that I called him up and asked if it was something I could handle myself. I think he said it was as good an idea as doctor performing surgery on himself. When I thought it through, I could see that fighting the EDD in a proceeding that I knew nothing about was going to be a huge time suck for me and my employees. Bob charged a flat fee to handle the entire audit and, while it was more than I wanted to pay at the time (hel1, I didn't want to pay anything ...) it turned out to be a tremendous bargain. Bob handled everything, my firm didn't have to do anything except send some documents. Bob's knowledge of the nuances of how the EDD worked was absolutely fantastic. He knows the hearing officers, knows the procedures, knows the time deadlines, knows what you can be required to do and what you can refuse to do, and that knowledge is invaluable. The EDD spent about a year investigating my firm and called into question every dollar I had ever paid any worker. Every 1099 I sent out for the past five years including to entities like court reporters, got checked. In the end, they sent some kind of audit statement and -- keeping in mind that I'm a lawyer and know how to read stuff like this -- it was all voodoo to me: I couldn't understand it at all. The EDD decided that I owed them about $15,000 -- keeping in mind that this was a huge reduction in what they started out with. Still, Bob was outraged and told me he was going to get it reduced for a bunch of reasons that even I couldn't follow. In the end, it got settled for my payment of less than a quarter of the already-reduced $15,000 the EDD said I owed. I know that was a hell of a lot less than I would have paid if I had handled it myself, and it was way, way less aggravation and work for me and my employees. If you've got an EDD problem, the only smart thing to do is to hire Bob Schriebman. He's smart, ethical, knows the EDD backwards and forwards, you'll get a better result than you ever could on your own, and whatever you pay him is a lot less than the value of your own time, energy, and lost peace of mind.

Feedback:

If you have a tax issue, the only mistake you can make is to not call Robert Schriebman right away to resolve it. Mr. Schriebman has more expertise in tax issues than any other attorney or accountant we have talked to. He guides you through every step of the process. It reduces a lot of stress knowing that he is in your corner. He is honest, fair and tells it like it is and he will do his very best to achieve the most favorable outcome possible. You'll learn a lot from him too. I'll definitely call on him again anytime I have a tax issue.
