Purchased a Samsung Refrigerator during a remodel in February of 2017 and had it installed in May of 2017. Within the first year we were having issues with the ice maker freezing over and then the ice could not empty in to the ice maker bin. While under warranty we had the ice maker replaced. For the last year every 3 weeks or so we have had to knock the frozen water down so the ice maker could make ice again. Now it has become so bad that ice is finding it's way down to the fan for the freezer and now the freezer no longer works. This is a KNOWN defect to Samsung and yet they will not authorize the ice maker to be replaced as it is 2 1/2 years old and not under warranty. 2 1/2 YEARS OLD!!! The freezer and refrigerator I have in my garage are each 20 years old and yet I do not have problems with them! My advice is DO NOT PURCHASE A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE!!! Go with someone like Whirlpool, GE or KitchenAid as they will last longer than 2 1/2 years. $3200 down the drain!
