Several years ago I hired Sal to file my corporate and personal taxes. When it came near tax season I called him and he said he filed an extension as he was very busy. I followed up with him after the tax season and he ghosted me. I couldn't get ahold of him, left messages with his secretary, and never got a call back.I eventually had to hire another accountant and never got my money back from Sal. I then found out he never filed an extension and had lied about that.I learned my lesson to look at reviews online instead of just meeting with the 2-3 accountants in town.
