I went in after filling out an application online for a receptionist position. I go in, and i have to fill out another application because they did not have mine. I was there looking to gain receptionist experience. I had no prior experience at that time, and i was looking to go into that line of work. When the lady saw my application and saw that I had no experience, her demeanor immediately changed. She asked "Do you have any experience with quickbooks?" (which I know now is an accounting program that a 4 year old could operate) and I said no, because I didn't. She quickly turned me away by saying "oh well you can't be considered unless you have experience in quickbooks". Like Okay, and how on gods green earth do you expect anyone to gain quickbooks experience when you turn them away from any jobs the second you learn they don't have experience? It's not as if it takes a rocket scientist to operate these programs. I have since gained receptionist experience at a high end car dealership, and it seriously was easier than any previous retail or food service position I held before. I am not understanding why these places treat you like dirt if you have no experience. I lost my receptionist job because the manager was a criminal and a liar, and now I am looking for another position, but I do not think I'll choose this place or the Meador Staffing Services on Center st.due to the poor service I received last time around.
