I initially reached out to John in February based on his stellar reviews and my need for assistance in crafting a new resume for a planned career change. After having several excellent initial discussions with John, I decided to purchase a package which included multiple customizable resumes, a cover letter, and a redesign to my LinkedIn profile. Early on in the process, John and I had fairly regular contact and he was very responsive. We had some excellent conversations and meetings, and I was very happy with how things appeared to be proceeding. So I decided to pay the full amount up front when the time came, instead of in installments like I would regularly do. I trusted John and I respected his knowledge and expertise. However, immediately after I paid and completed some work needed to craft my resume, John became incredibly difficult to get in touch with and ceased communication. After 3 weeks of repeated emails and phone calls, John finally reached back out to me regarding my resume, which was far past the original timeline he had initially mentioned. The resume I received was well-written and well-formatted, but several items linked in the resume did not work, and even after I mentioned it to John during the editing process, he did not fix them, I did on my own. Additionally, I have reached out to him SEVERAL times over the last 10-12 days regarding my other resume, cover letter, LinkedIn, and general job search advice, but to no avail. As soon as I paid the full cost up front, it was very clear that I was moved to the back of the priority list for John, and I'm getting the impression that he could not care less about me or helping me with my job search. I'm in the process of trying to obtain a refund for services not rendered, but John has been unresponsive to my attempts at contacting him (surprise, surprise). In 2 months (!!), I have received 1/6 of the services that I paid for...that is simply unacceptable. While John does produce quality work and is undoubtedly very knowledgeable and intelligent, his customer service and follow through are severely lacking and I feel that my time and money have been wasted. Do yourself a favor, and look elsewhere for career advice and resume services.
