Love how simple and straightforward Peter has made the accounting process. You can’t beat the pricing plus the software he uses makes everything very simple to understand and can be accessed anywhere. I highly recommend Peter for all your accounting and tax preparation

We had our first meeting with Peter Holtz a few months ago and since then it has been a great experience. He and his staff are very knowledgeable and resourceful. They have been patient with us when answering questions as well as giving advice when we are unsure. His staff is very responsive, professional and very helpful. As a business owner we have to be very carful with making these kind of commitments but obtaining services with Peter Holtz has definitely put us at ease knowing we will be ok with them on our side.

I am at a loss for words as to where I can start this but I will try and make it short as possible.I switched my small Truck and Trailer repair business to Holtz accounting 10 months ago and used their bookkeeping service for monthly bookkeeping,sales tax, payroll etc..Lets get one thing straight Peter is a nice guy and he appears very well versed on the tax code but.....just because his name is on the building and the invoices doesn't mean he will oversee your account and make sure what his employee's are doing is correct as he has employee's for that also (maybe he does if you have a big business IDK but he did not on mine).Peter has a large staff of employees that service your account and the employees I worked with have been very unresponsive to emails,calls,and or texts and usually I have to contact them several times to even get a response and even then the follow through is horrible.I won't list every mistake and problem I uncovered on my account as the review will be too long and unproductive.I will give one recent example of a large mistake.My bookkeeper after multiple emails finally responded to me with a sales tax amount due for the quarter of $1961.When I questioned the amount and asked how she came up with the number she replied that she would have to get back to me.Two days later she sent a spread sheet showing her calculations and I spotted the problem immediately but then asked her why she didn't just run a report in Xero and get the amount in a few minutes?She replied that that's how another bookkeeper told her how to do it.The supervisor got involved and I ended up paying $1030($931 less!!).Now as it turns out she must of submitted the first figure to the BOE as I got a notice for underpayment of taxes and a penalty.They did say they will straighten it out and I'm sure they will but this example shows how you need to pay attention to what is going on and not just blindly write checks they say are due. In summary I though I was paying an expert to keep my P&L up to date,manage my account and give me some guidance along the way and I was sadly disappointed.Peter is too busy managing his own business to worry about your small business.His employees know less then I do about accounting and made mistake after mistake.If you don't know what your numbers are or where things stand this firm will be perfect for you as you will never know the difference and its reasonably priced also but if you want a Professional CPA to guide you and help with your business I suggest looking for a smaller firm where the CPA actually works on your account and interacts with you via phone and email.His prices are probably too cheap for that to happen here but I didn't negotiate the price as that's what they offered.I am now in the process of moving my books back to QB from Xero and to a new CPA a process I hope none of you ever have to go through.
