I’ve been with the Academy for a few months now. Like everyone else, I scouted the internet for reviews. WOW – are there a LOT of bad reviews. Of course those reviews made me nervous about signing up to learn something I’ve always wanted to learn.Here is what I’ve found:1) Most of the bad reviews are from people who attended the “free” half day seminar. 2) The other bad reviews are from people who paid to attend the 3 day workshop.Now, I’m not sure what everyone the people who wrote bad reviews were thinking. I am an intelligent person. I’ve always known about the ways to make money in the stock market. I was taught at the young age of 18 to buy and hold stocks that pay dividends. It worked for some time as back in the day, most stocks had a habit of splitting in addition to paying dividends. My portfolio grew and grew and grew. Then my (ex) husband came along and wiped out not only my portfolio but cost me over $400K in legal bills (another story for another day). I was over 50, a stay at home mom and knew I needed to do something if I was ever going to have the ability to pay off my debt, retire and/or live a good life again. A family member signed me up for the 3 day workshop. Lots of negativity in the workshop. Plenty of people blowing hot air…People, you are NOT going to learn how to make money in the stock market in 3 days time. Men and women go to school for years and spend tens of thousands of dollars on degrees in finance (yes, some are lucky enough to have avoided the expensive formal education, but they paid their dues working in the environment that taught them). Then they spend time in some type of financial institution where they are hands on in the financial world. It took them time (with or without their formal education) being hands on before they became astute. Why would anything think that $299 and 3 days is going to teach them something as complex as making money in the stock market?Here is what I’ve learned so far:This is not easy! You have to be diligent and WANT to learn this…and more importantly, follow OTA’s rules. This is key. I’ve met young people and retired people who have been with the Academy, and yes, they are making money; teachers, people who come from investment bank environments, engineers, retirees and many others with ages ranging from early 20’s to people in their 80’s. Just recently I met an IT person who has an uncle who went thru the academy back in 2013. She learned of OTA when she asked her uncle what he was doing now that he was retired but still making a [really] nice income. She is now an OTA student and yes, we met in a class.On top of the ability to really learn how to trade, whether it be futures, forex, options or equities, there is more. OTA is building proprietary software. This software is being designed to actually help students be more successful with their trades. Just like the big finance guys…this software has it’s own AI embedded within it. If this does not excite anyone, then please, this is truly not for you. For those who understand that there is a way, a successful way, to trade the products of your choice and have the ability to build your future in a positive manner, then OTA is the place to be. All you have to do is make the effort, have patience, practice, study, learn, learn and learn, follow the rules…and you can become successful as so any other have too! Don’t worry, there is plenty of support here. From the OTA helpdesk to some of the students you will meet in class(es). Yes, an actual class in a physical location…not some hotel conference room…Some of the incredible instructors I’ve had are Scott, Bobbie, Greg (“what fun”) and Anthony and the support staff is just beyond amazing. I’ve met some of the others who work for OTA as well as the CEO and everyone is so welcoming.As one instructor put on the board one day “do today what others won’t so you can live tomorrow like others can’t.”It's all up to you!

I took Core Strategy class with Bobbie Sheils, Is was awesome. She is very knowledgeable and fun. It really enhanced my learning, the course is amazing, the materials are easy to understand and to follow. This center is great, people are very polite, and professionals. This center is very clean, and they have a parking lot available for students. I would certainly recommend this center and instructor to all my friends and family!Come and join us, it is worth it!

Everyone is interested in one thing- your advancement! From trading to portfolio management everything hinges on one thing- risk management! And no one teaches risk management like OTA! At the very least, learn to hedge your retirement account so you can sleep better at night!
