I was recently hired from onin to go to nissan to drive a forklift. Upon arival, I was told that there were no forklifts availible, due to breakdowns. I was put on the floor. My back is not the best, so after 4 days, I asked about driving again. Matt, my boss said there were none availible. I called Lisa at Onin in Lebanon, and she told me that I would only get 7.50 an hour for my hours already worked if I couldn't give a 24 hour notice. I spoke to Matt after telling him about this, and his comment was,"we could actually keep people if we had better equipment" So, instead of 12.50, I'm making 7.50 an hour, and it's not right. I was told I was being hired for a forklift position, and had been sent to nissan to take the forklift test. I'm thinking seriously about filing a claim with the labor board!
