Feedback:

Amazing center, especially for the advanced trades! It will change your life for the better

Feedback:

It is what you make of it. You must put forward the effort.

It save my life

Feedback:

There are some parts that i would love to forget, but I wouldn't want to have never attended.Didn't do all that i set out to do, but i completed basic electrical at least. After leaving in 2013 it was a long hard road, but now on my own I am a college student.Sometimes i still dream of being there again, but of course i can't go back.

Feedback:

There ups and downs but at the end when you complete you feel relieved.

When you get here, please don't arrive here thinking it's like a college campus. It's far from it. You're not allowed to leave campus on your leisure time. However, there's some stuff to do on your leisure time such as weekly trips, movie trips, and Walmart trips, a gaming room in the recreation center with an extensive game collection, a weight room, a cardio room, and a gymnasium with a basketball court. There's also a basketball court outside too. On weekends, you can leave campus with the transportation staff and go into town but you have to obtain this platinum level thing. It's hard for me to explain it but staff here will explain it to you when you get here. But basically, in order to be on platinum, you need 105 points which you can get by just helping out, volunteering, etc. The food here is NOT the greatest. I highly advise you to bring ramen or other microwavable foods with you or bring some back on Walmart trips but don't bring back too much stuff because they will confiscate it because they think you're trying to sell it. Apparently selling your own food here is illegal. I don't know why but it's pretty dumb. The residential advisor has a refrigerator in the office. Most of the dorms will let you store food in there but if you don't trust people enough to leave it in there, then don't. Breakfast is from 6:30 to 7:30am but it's best to get there between 6:30 to 7 because they will eventually run out of the good food leaving you to eat only cereal sometimes. Lunch is split into 2 parts. First lunch is acedemic lunch. It's for people whom have math, reading, or high school diploma. Second lunch is for people that have trade. Lunch is probably (in my opinion) the best meal of the day compared to breakfast and dinner. Dinner is at 5:00 to 6:00. Please bring your own food if you can! If dinner isn't the greatest, you can always order food. Food orders on the weekday and weekends are from 6:30 to 7:30. You can order chinese food from this one place but it's pretty bad, Dominos, and a local pizza shop named Wise Guy Sammy's. The trades offered here are CMA, MAA, CNA, Auto Body Repair, Auto Technician, Tile Setting, Cement Mason. The Advanced Training trades offered are Drone pilot program, Overhead Lineman, Underground Residential Distribution, and Smart Meter. The trade I took was Auto Body Repair. Mr. Angell, the ABR instructor, is very helpful and knowledgeable in this trade. Most of the stuff you do here is hands-on and you will often find yourself having to learn things on your own because Mr. Angell is busy in his office but don't hesitate to ask him for help. He's super nice and will go out of his way to help you succeed as long as you work with him and not sit around not doing anything. He hates that. Dorm life isn't too bad. There are 4 male dorms amd 2 female dorms. When you first get here you start off in a 6-man room. Eventually as time goes on you'll move on into 4-mans, 3-mans, 2-mans, and if you're lucky enough, a 1-man! Each dorm has a lounge. Some dorms have TVs and computers as well as couches.Overall my experience here has been ok. People can get extremely irritable and will sometimes test you. Don't let them stop you from doing what you came here to do. The longer you're here, the more this place wears you down. Try to come into this place with a positive mindset and make the best of it! The one thing I heard a lot from my time being here is "This place is what you make of it."

If you go there with a mission, you can take advantage of all the great opportunity.
