Feedback:

I am a parent of a 20 year old boy that has been attending this place since January. This place is discriminatory, deceitful, undermining, lazy, pathetic excuse of what is supposed to mold & help young adults. These kids are constantly denied things they need, including equipment, uniforms & being able to ACTUALLY work on their trade. It's pretty bad when the instructors & the Director are never there & when they are they don't do their job & yet they try to claim they want to help my son, who is White in an almost all predominate African American culture. Who was called a white boy by an EMPLOYEE and they did NOTHING to her. I want to file severe complaints & charges against this facility for their lack of management or even trying to do their job.

Feedback:

I went here in 2002- 2003. Best experience I ever had. I love Job Corps. They prepared me for life and made me independent. I'm a supervisor at Apple now. I never thought I would be a supervisor for the biggest company in the world. If I can do it, anyone can.

Feedback:

I loved Job Corps I meet plenty of new people. The staff was amazing & the center director Mrs. Collins is the best she very helpful & kind. I miss it so much but now I'm on to bigger & better things, all thanks goes out to the Mississippi Job Corps Center.

Feedback:

One of the best decisions I made was joining Job Corp. Coming from a small town in Alabama, couldn't afford to finish my college degree and didn't want to be stuck in a small town forever, I left and joined Job Corp. I met some good friends and awesome instructors I often wonder about today. After completing the program for clerical aide, I was given two options, stay and attend Jackson State or Advance Training in St. Louis, Missouri. I chose St. Louis Job Corp advance training program and although I regret not staying and finishing college. I am very happy and comfortable with my life today. I owe it to Job Corp for recognizing my potential! ~1996-1997

Feedback:

Don't go here. Trust me you'll hate it.

Feedback:

Management had a lot of unprofessional issues. Only a handful of the staff where dedicated to making sure students was prepared for the workforce outside once they complete.

Feedback:

The food makes you sick. Bedbugs in the dorms .Instead of replacing the mattresses they put new sheets over it. Unless you live in the area to go home every weekend, you're pretty much stuck in a prison full of trash students and disrespectful workers. The weekend field trips is also a lie. When one student pisses off a staff member then the trip is cancelled because "we're a team" no...we all came yheur to get our certification on our own and werew helping ourselves, but in the end a lot of people get screwed over I recommend Bassville or another campus where workers will actually treat you like an adult.

Feedback:

Well I thought it was going to be a good center from behind the gate but when I entered the premises It was a major let down. The dorms are pitiful the kids are loud and disruptive in the halls, the bathrooms are not private, the welders here do not know how to lay a good bead in on groove welds, the beds are squeaky. The music is loud in rooms and loud noises occur in the halls. The students here frequently use profanity and are disrespectful. The residential staff do not know how to manage the students after lights out.

Feedback:

I came here believing I was going to get a good education but it was so bad I left within the week

Feedback:

Mississippi Job Corps is a great place to obtain a welding certification. There is a large boat building company in Mississippi looking for certified welders. I would encourage everyone to apply. It is free.
