"Matt and his team do a phenomenal job! When we purchased our independent insurance agency last year, they were there step-by-step to explain various nuances, help with QuickBooks Online, tax planning, setting up payroll, etc. (the list goes on). Without Matt's help during the transition, frankly, I would have been lost with respect to all the tax planning aspects of running a new business! As a small agency with minimal staff, we've outsourced almost 100% of our accounting and bookkeeping needs to Matt and his team, and I wouldn't have it any other way! They take care of these things so that we can spend more time taking care of our own business, which means helping existing clients and working hard to obtain new ones! Everyone at Matthew Accounting is quick to respond to my phone calls or emails, and answer any questions I have. Matthew Accounting has done a good job with my taxes in the past. However, this year will be my last working with them. They will slip optional 'Audit Protection' services onto your invoice, without explanation and without any attempt to inform you. They will also require you to ask them to remove the unwanted optional services, before you can pay your expected bill. This is the type of tactic that would suit a shady used-car dealer, not a once-reputable accounting firm. Or maybe they are just tremendously bad at communicating with their customers about the services they are billing you for. Either way, watch your invoices carefully and ask questions.
