Feedback:
One star is far too many. Wouldn't take a dead dog there. Absolutely disgraceful the way they have treated my elderly father, absolutely no need for what they have done this last week. Complaint will be put forward.

We certainly can see why it was rated by the CQC as needing improvement. A&E not working well. Infant Admitted to A&E with head injury and was kept waiting there for 6.5 hrs. Yes we all know they are busy, but needing to pull staff from Boston is testament that they are running inadequately. NHS guidelines of 4 hours not adhered to and for such a young paediatric patient, simply does not compute. Where is the on call paediatrician? You might be busy, but paediatrics should be dealt with urgently. Doctors give conflicting opinions and once on the Childrens Ward, some 8hours after arriving, it's not great either. Most Hospital Childrens Departments are one of the best kept areas of a hospital, due to extra funding accrued by fundraising. If this is the case at Lincoln , I dread to think what state the rest of the wards are in. Firstly its tired, scruffy and desperately in need of a refresh and update. Then the security, press the buzzer and your let through. Was not spoken to via the intercom and once in, no one asked who we were or who we were there to see. Which on a childrens ward is alarming. No wrist band issued for infant patient for the 3 day duration. One Nurse noticed on day 2, but it was never corrected. Fundamental error! Every inpatient should have a I.D hospital band on admission. Staff are friendly, but alarm bells ring when staff themselves tell you, they would not bring their own children to that hospitals AE department! Routine 4hrly observations were missed and on at least two occasions dropped to 8 hourly. All in all not a great impression and concerning.

As a patient with multiple lifelong chronic illnesses, including mental health and ehlers-danlos syndrome, I can say I've visited almost every department! Some things can be improved, such as the ease of directions through the hospital. I am a professional patient, so I've got the whole thing well memorized, but for new people it can be difficult due to the many twists and turns and signs that only point to the closest departments. The blue line to physio and other parts which are further away is very helpful though.Physio and OT are a fair walk from the main entrance, but they do have their own entrance and parking that most patients use. It's just a shame for those who use public transport to have only one bus stop at the hospital, and then to have to walk all the way through to the back. On a positive, porters have helped push me to that side when I asked at the reception, and someone came to take me down within 5 minutes on each occasion. So help is available.Staff have always been so amazing to me, OT staff for example, know my voice when I call their phone! And ask how I got on with wheelchair basketball at the weekend! Over the years I have been so well looked after, and the staff are always willing to do what they can with what tiny budget they have to work with. With a bigger budget and more staff or help, this hospital can improve drastically. But as it is, I can not fault the staff or service provided with what resources they have.

A&E needs to be sorted what a shambles it is. Waiting over 4 hours and all we have seen is a nurse. People see the doctor at least 3 times why can't they sort them out the first time. Really disappointed.

No longer fit for purpose.
Feedback:
Our little girl has been admitted twice this year for breathing difficulties. The staff in both A&E and on rainforest ward have been absolutely brilliant and we have had excellent care. Thank you for doing a great job.

28.09.19 Approx 22.30 A&E Dept Reception staff unhelpful and abrupt after following our Son in, in an Ambulance totally unacceptable behaviour from first line staff. Training Issues IMO
