Client Review on LaPorte County Schools

Feedback:

My family and I moved to LaPorte in November and our oldest dog Cletus (he is a beagle, and 14 yrs old) but within the first 2 weeks of being here he had dug right under the privacy fenced in back yard and he was gone. Well thank God for Facebook and everyones one help. A lady seen him within 15/25 mins of him being let out and had took him to this shelter right away. It is litterly 2 mins away from where he was picked up and it was winter, already dark out, and he was walking by a busy street and train tracks. Within the 30/40 mins I grabbed my phone and got on Facebook right away. There were already a post from the shelter and the lady that had found him. But within the hour the shelter had already closed for the night. Now with us just moving to LaPorte county from downtown Valparaiso (Porter County). I hadn't had him tagged and registered him for LaPorte county yet. So kinda the only hard thing was that I had to go get copies of his shot records. Diving to Valpo and back the next morning so he wouldn't be there long at all. The tag for him and to have registered for LaPorte was like $5/$10 can't remember. Just the $60 to get him out of doggy jail was a little hard when you live check to check and month to month but it worked out........ Since then my family have been having a little hard time for a few months and needed dog food, and cat food. Because as of the story at the beginning with our oldest dog Cletus (14 bagel) we also have Lucky (6 puggle) and Dotty (1 & 1/2, gray calico cat. And since it was kinda emergency because of feeding all 3 of them and using the last bit of there food. That morning I started calling around and found out that salvation army here in LaPorte has a pet pantry on Wednesday's all day (closed for HR for lunch). But since it was like Thursday I had just missed the day for the pet pantry. The lady on the phone with me from LaPorte County Animal Shelter said,"call me back in 5/10 mins and I'll see if we have any donations or extra that we can give you". So of course I called her back and she said,"Are you able to come in today? Because I found some food for all three". So my family and I got into the car a drove over there really quick. But I will tell you that when I walked in and lady said you will need help hailing it all to the car. I was like know it isn't that much right? She had pointed out a huge amount (mountain) of all dag sizes of dog food and cat food. When I got to the last 2 bags I was in tires. She had also gave us 2 big bags of cat litter and I was so worried about them eating I didn't even think of asking for cat litter. I really love this place and how caring the hole staff is and even though there prices for doggy jail was a little high I would pay that amount any day to get our baby out of jail just as long as he is here with them, then anywhere else.P.S. TO LADIE...... SORRY I COULDN'T REMEMBER YOUR NAME BUT WE WILL BE COMING IN SOON (CROSS YOUR FINGERS) TO DONATE WHAT YOU ALL HELPED WITH US, IF NOT MORE. THESE DAYS, MOST DON'T SEE THIS HELPFUL AND CARING FOR SOMEONE AND THERE FAMILY. THANK YOU LAPORTE COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER,FROM: NICK, MICHELLE, JR, CLETUS, LUCY, AND DOTTY
