In the past, I have relied solely on the Internet for job searching. This can be so time consuming and exhausting. Often, you send out many, many resumes and get a few replies and go on multiple exhausting interviews only to find the job is not what you thought, or you are in line with 300 other people for the position. Then you sit on pins and needles and wait for weeks, only to get bad news over and over. Recently, when looking for new employment, I decided to try Inter-Connect. I had been told that most of the really good jobs out there are never advertised on the Internet, and certainly not in the newspaper. Busy managers don't have time to interview 200-300 people only to find 90% of them don't even qualify for the job. They have hiring agencies find just a few suitable candidates to send them so that they know the people they will interview are well-suited for the position they need to fill. I talked to Marcy at Inter-Connect, and she had me come in for testing on a couple of computer programs and give a brief interview. She matched me with a job she thought I was suited for, I went on the interview, and I nailed it!
