It's a shame just how awful this program is ran. I applied for a care provider nearly 6 months ago. Was approved rather quickly, less than 30 days. I chose my care provider and he was also approved. He did orientation and live scan. When the social worker scheduled our home visit she did not show up or bother to call, we waited all day. Spent the entire next day on the phone to find out why no one came on the date and time they chose only to be told the social worker was out due to jury duty and they didn't know when she would return. Why could she not notify us? They dont care plain and simple. Around a week later I got a letter in the mail with a new date and time for the home visit, which was like another month wait. Well all of that came and went and they said what hours and tasks would be paid for and what would not, here it is 6 months later and my care provider has still not been paid a single cent. No time sheets have even been sent out and a million phone calls have been made and no one has answers. It feels like a Scam. I cant expect my care provider to keep working for free, he is a nice man and now has gone into debt because he feels to sorry for me to quit. Not sure who is getting the raw deal here, him for being a nice guy or me for being disabled? It's a shame and these people don't care. The only good thing I can say is they are nice on the phone IF you can even get them on the phone, but again it feels like a scam. Beware if you are going to apply for this you will be waiting a very very long time and it should not be your plan of only income if you are applying to be a care provider.

I've been a provider for some time now and I've had some issues with my time card not coming thru the mail on time so I would call payroll and make arrangements to pick up a copy of my time sheet with no problems.
