I had them prepare an amended return on July of 2013 for both state and federal. They never filed the return with the state or feds until OCT of 2013! They only filed it in October when I called them and asked of the whereabouts of my return monies. They blamed the "sequester" saying I should receive the return in 6-8 weeks. I called them back in January of 2014. Same question, but this time I asked the secretary who them informed me that the return was filed in October. I asked for a refund of the $200+ fee. Their reply: "sorry no can do but we can give you a discount on this years return". NO THANKS! avoid avoid avoid! fI am thinking small claims. If they only would have admitted a mistake instead of lying. Never trust a liar.
