I went to H&R Block originally, in 2017, and walked out of there completely numb. $4k they said I owed the feds. I'm an investment property owner and I had done so much cosmetic and structural improvements that year that I thought i could write off. According to H&R block, I wasn't able to write any of that off. My property manager refered me to a CPA and then I found Hinckle and Landers. Van Billops was a godsend. He not only was able to erase the supposed $4k H&R block came up with but he also had come up with some creative solutions that not only got me a little bit of a return but also will potentially help me out once I eventually decide to sell my property. I highly recommend these guys!
