Would you say it's standard practice for a recruiting manager or ANY employer post interview to pull out their cell phone and say they'll need a photo of you for their files? I was stunned. I know a few recruiters who told me that is absolutely NOT standard practice. So, 10 minutes after posting my review/experience I received a scathing phone call. The man on the other end says he is the President of HH Staffing and that he had some things to tell me. I told him I was in the middle of a project and could he please email me. His response was, "No, this needs to happen on the phone" and began asking me repeatedly where I worked and when I asked for his name before going any further, he responded, "You won't answer me because you're not working, are you?" He was incensed and became more aggressive as he continued telling me that I would most likely be banned from Google for giving a couple bad reviews. He said, "Now let me tell you what's going to happen to you!" then would repeat how I was going to get mine for my negative review and be banned from participating in Google reviews. You could've picked my jaw up off the ground. I simply stated my experience with HH, which after talking with 3 recruiters I thought it to be a strange practice. It was simply very uncomfortable for me. His white hot, condescending anger was disturbing to say the least. A professional and a man in control he is not. Never allowed me to get a word out to explain where I was coming from. I honestly could not believe what I was hearing. He hung up on me. He didn't want an email conversation with me explaining their "standard practice" and oh, I don't know, maybe apologizing for whatever made me feel uncomfortable. No, he wanted to use bullying tactics telling me off with nothing in writing to show how out of line and threatening he could be. Why not calmly explain this "standard practice" and apologize for any miscommunication that sometimes happens. I would've thanked him and respected a stand up guy that wanted to make things right. Now, let me tell YOU this...how dare you call me during business hours bullying me and questioning my character. You conducted yourself like an absolute unstable lunatic. And why? P.S. That conversation was heard by many. I suggest you get it together. What you did, how you spoke to me, is not OK. I'm not turning my back to it. I feel sorry for you.
