I had an interesting experience with this lot last Wednesday when I attended an interview with their Business Director. Everything was fine and in my books I had an ok interview with lots of questions and knowledge from me in respect to what this company is all about. As I left I couldn't help the feeling that a "kid" would have to judge me and all my knowledge/experience as both employer and employee. Rest Assure they know what they are doing,I told myself,however 6 days later(including the weekend),I get the usual email with the "unfortunately"word in it,that says I missed out in this instance and it wishes me great fortune for the future!I wished to work for/with this company to help them better their goals.kpi's and realistic approach to clients and applicants. My wish did not come true and another day later,after the 6 days I waited to get an answer,the job has been re advertised on Trade Me! I am puzzled,I though there were plenty of quality applicants just waiting for this chance....anyway there is my realistic review of the whole experience: I felt the person who conducted the interview lacked great knowledge/experience and patience. The business card handed to me,further more, lacked professionalism,the lettering of the person,the title,etc are so small that one would have to call upon a magnifying glass to be able to make any sense of it. You as an employer ,only have one chance to acquire good staff and in this instance I was lead to believe that I came across someone who was time conscious more than any other attribute. As an employer with an active company in the market place,I am afraid I will not use Hays,at least Wellington Hays,due to my sad experience. This review has not been placed to offend any individuals as such but in the hope that Hays as a company and its valid principles,would review its standards and submit on line a proper statement that involves the local Wellington Branch and not rely on Australian offices feedback.
