I am happy to say that I have been a more than satisfied client of Fred for 30 years. He is professional, thorough, but also thoughtful and concerned not just with the job at hand but also your personal situation. I can think of a no higher compliment than not only am I with Fred, but my two daughters and my mother are now also clients. I have entrusted my financial CPA needs with him, and I wouldn't want anyone else.

I've been using Fred Boehm for over 15 years now. I can't say enough about his knowledge and the professional service he's provided me over this time. He makes organizing your tax returns at home straight forward should you choose, and then takes much time should you choose face to face in the office or over the phone (I've done both) to assure his clients receive their proper tax filing. Fred provides full CPA services. (He assisted me setting up an LLC as well). To sum it up, Fred Boehm and Associates provides a very caring, fair, and reasonable service which is rare these days. I highly recommend his firm.

I used this service for my taxes for two years. I was new to commercial aviation the first year, so I had a few questions and needed a little explanation. I was not impressed or helped much, but I came back the next year. ...my mistake. From the first call, it was almost routine that I would be set aside so he could attend to other customers. I always felt like an additional, less important, and a nuisance of a customer. I’m paying this guy though right? You will almost certainly see what I’m talking about within two phone calls. On top of that, his phone etiquette leaves a lot to be desired. Expect to be rudely cut off and talked over many times per phone call. He has very little interest in hearing anything you have to say. For a guy who does a lot of work on the phone, you would expect he knows how to have a polite and professional conversation with his customers, and not interrupt them constantly. He does not. This year was the last straw. I had a specific issue about my healthcare coverage and the tax implications that I was unsure of. I could not even get my explanation of the problem out before once again being cut off, made to call back twice, and being told this wasn’t an issue, rudely. There were issues with the return from last year that may need to be addressed. I was concerned over money my family may have to pay or be held liable for because of a lapse in healthcare coverage related to my military service, and he doesn’t even have the time or patience to tell me why I shouldn’t be concerned. It was quite obvious that his first priority was to ensure I knew that no error on last year’s return was his fault even though he prepared them. He was very concerned about explaining his lack of responsibility, and less concerned about my worries and liabilities in addressing the issue. He combined that with cutting me off so often and being so rude that I decided this relationship was over. Here is what you should know. When giving him your tax information, he will make you fill out a note taker. You will spend so much time on the specificity in this note taker, that you might as well just use TurboTax online. You are basically doing all the work you are paying him to do. There is no value added to the service he provides. Frankly, you will spend more time with him and his note taker than you would have with TurboTax, and no one will cut you off and be rude to you. He will not hold himself liable for mistakes either, so no one will back you up if you are audited, or care if you might be liable for a penalty. Finally, the man won’t remember anything you tell him, nor will he write it down. In essence, the note taker becomes a problem because if you explain any nuance of or corrections to the notetaker, they are lost. So later, if there is a problem, everything is your fault because of what you wrote on the note taker, without reference to what you discussed or pointed out after filling out his note taker. Honestly, what are you paying for?? Do yourself a big favor and find someone else to do your taxes, especially if you are in the military or are a pilot. Fly safe.

You do not always know what is involved in this process when filing taxes. We learned so much from Fred who not only processed our annual taxes but was kind enough to spot an error that went undetected from a previous CPA. As a result of Fred's attention to detail and knowledge, we were refunded over $20,000. We would have never known had we not been working with Fred! He is the only person we trust in this process and we highly recommend Fred Boehm.

After 20 years of great work, we move to Boston MA, but we still worki g with Fred Boehm. There is no subtitution. He handled our tax returns as great as he always did. He is a great person and best CPA for our personnel and business accounting. I would recommend to everyone without a hesitation.

Fred has been my CPA for thirty years. Years ago I had an IRS issue that almost put me out of business. My accountant at the time said there was no hope. Then Fred came along and said of course I can help you with that and he did. Thirty years later i'm still in business. If you need a new accountant, don't hesitate. He's the best.

Fred has been our tax professional since the 1996, and now our children also use Fred’s tax services. Obviously we are very pleased. Fred is knowledgeable about finances and he is up to date with all the tax laws. His guidance has helped us save money by being smarter with investments. In 2012 Fred helped me establish my LLC and he is always available to answer my sales tax & business forms questions. I don’t know how we could navigate our tax filings without Fred Boehm!
