Switching careers and opening a small business was extremely nerve racking as I have no business experience. Fred and his team have been extremely helpful in assisting me with getting everything set up and with giving me a crash course in owning a business. Fred is quick to respond to any questions I have and is very knowledgeable. Shout out to his administrative assistant, Stacy, who is extremely friendly and helpful. She even helped tweak my business name to make it perfect! I highly recommend this group.

Due to an inheritance, I decided I needed professional help with my 2018 tax preparation. I was anxious, and overwhelmed by the situation. Fred and his staff immediately put me at ease. Stacy and Fred are both personable and professional. Fred completed the return in front of me, thoroughly answering my questions, and explaining what he was doing as he went along without an iota of condescension. He also found an oversight in my 2017 return and filed an amended return which will hopefully net me an additional refund. I was also pleasantly surprised the next day when I received their invoice – it was very fair, and less than I’d feared it would be. I will definitely use this firm in the future. I found them through a Google search, hired them based on their favorable reviews, and was not disappointed. In fact, I could not have been happier with the whole experience. I highly recommend F.J. Fred Koelle saved me money, and from the IRS. When I received a notice from the IRS informing me that they were going to audit a recent tax return, I felt sick. My previous accountant had prepared the return incorrectly and took deductions that I could not substantiate and additionally omitted a significant tax from the return! The combined effect of which, Fred told me, was that I was at risk of having to pay thousands of dollars in taxes and penalties. A friend had told me about F. J. Koelle & Associates and the friendly yet professional services they provide. Stacey and Susan are wonderful to work with and they shepherded me through the tax filing ordeal once I became a client. They use the most advanced and secure electronic processes, allowing me to file from my new home in North Carolina (they are in Willow Grove, PA) without leaving the house. I was greatly surprised when I first met Fred as he is unlike any other accountant I’ve met. He possesses a warm personality and an obvious concern for his client’s well being. He can communicate the most complex tax situations in ways that even a layman can understand. And he knows the tax code! I could tell immediately that I was in good hands with Fred. My confidence in Fred was rewarded when he handled the entire audit himself (I didn’t even have to go) and came away with a small amount that I owed. Fred developed a strategy that the IRS accepted for substantiating those questionable deductions and avoided the missing tax entirely! Having F. J.
