The first thing I heard when I walked into the interview office was two staff members making fun of the girl who just left from her interview before me. Rude, unhelpful, your fate with them seems to be based on their mood at the moment. Having experience and being educated doesn’t mean anything here. It seems they seek people with the lowest standards and self-esteem to give work to because their offers are insulting. Kim was curt, judgemental and dishonest. The receptionist was nice, everybody else there was terribly unprofessional.

I was given a call from a rep to come in for an interview. I thought since I was considered a candidate why not see what they have. Well it turns out I interviewed for a position that many had already experienced. It’s sad that they refuse to tell you that when you are going to interview it’s all based on feelings if they feel you don’t fit the job description or look a certain way then nothing, no call, not even a follow up. Everyone has a different outcome when interviewing, this is what I perceived from my experience. I had all the experience to fit the opening job this is why expresspros chose to call me so it makes no sense to say cause you feel a certain way, even if the person has the experience, you’re still going to deny them the job. Well like the comments say before my mines, run don’t waste your time trying to get work from them I have dealt with better. I normally don’t leave reviews but in this case I feel i needed to so nobody else has to experience this type of service. I even was given time cards and have not been on any assignments.

I've been wanting to write this for awhile now but didn't want to receive retaliation from them. I came in sometime over the summer and met with Marisa Cazinares who interviewed me, and I have the say, she comes across very curt, cold and not interested. The whole interaction with her made me very intimidated and uncomfortable. I allowed this with the hope that she would be able to find something for me. She found me a couple of temporary positions to which I am very grateful for, but I just can't help but feel that she didn't even try and assigned these positions out of necessity rather than fit. It's been months and she's only recommended me for a couple positions and a few assignments. I understand that things are slow, but I really think that she just does not care as evident with her behavior. Also, attention to detail is sorely lacking here. I submitted my weekly timesheet and explicitly asked them to cancel my direct deposit as I closed my account. This was obviously overlooked by whomever processes payroll and now my money is in limbo somewhere. Further, I was sent on an assignment, worked one day, and caught the flu. I called in sick the next day thinking I would feel better to continue the day after. Unfortunately, my symptoms got worse and I called in again and mentioned that in all good conscience, it might be better to find someone else at that time. I hear nothing from them for over a week but send Marisa an email about a position I see they have posted. She sends me a message back stating that they cannot work with me anymore because I quit my last assignment. What was I suppose to do when sick? They don't care and this is obviously retaliation from expressing my opinion of Marisa directly. They obviously do not want to work with me, and I do not want to work where one is punished for speaking up.#boycottexpressemploymentprofessionalsnorthportlandA review I found. However, Marisa Canizares, their "Administrative Staffing Manager", is one of the rudest, most unprofessional people I've ever met. This agency does not understand the concept of customer service and does not realize they cannot attract "professionals" once they have established a poor service reputation in the community.

Anything but professional at this location. The women who recruit are petty, rude, and act like they at they are better than you because you are trying to get a job through an agency.

Wasn't expecting much when I first went in because I didn't have a formal Interview set up. I got in and submitted my application just like a normal job would require and went through the hiring process. I did my best with the assignments that they gave me even with the one day or a few hours type or work just to keep me busy while they look for something more long term. In the Process they did hire me into the office it self, and learned the workings of temp Agency. The People in North Portland Office are genuine with what they do. They do Remember the people that come through their doors. Whether they be the troublesome child or the A+ students, and they try their best to Place people according to skills and availability along with the demands for temps. Though My Journey with them in the office has come to an end it was a real pleasure working with them.
