I used Elaine for doing my accounts on the first year of starting my business and was shocked when I received my bill at the end of the year so I decided to move onto another accountant. I sent a curtesy email Elaine and told her my plans on moving and asked if she could pass on all my information to the new accountant when they contacted her so when needed we could log into HMRC and also do my self assessment. Elaine never replied to my email nor did she reply to the new accountants. Numerous letters were sent over several months asking for my HMRC details that she withheld from me and the login infomation that she set up which was also withheld from me meaning I couldn’t log onto my HMRC account.If your looking for an account go elsewhere unless you want hassle if you ever decide to leave.
