This is our second year having both our business and personal tax filings handled by Cornerstone and we are extremely pleased with the service we have received. Jeremiah has done a wonderful job and has been very responsive even to last minute questions and requests. We would definitely suggest hiring Cornerstone and Jeremiah for any tax related matters.

We have been totally surprised by the complete lack of customer service and professionalism with this business. We made the mistake of filing our personal and business returns here, and 3 months later they have not been received by the IRS. After repeated calls, and emails, as well as waiting for the owner to get back from vacation to respond to us, and then once back, taking a few weeks to respond, until after we contact him again due to the lack of response... the blame is squarely placed on a daycare provider, the IRS and us; even though we have spoken with the IRS several times over the past 90 days, and our return was never received by the IRS.When we complained, and made it clear that we expected him to pay for any fines for the return being late, despite the fact that we filed it back in early February, instead of offering any sort of apology, the response was suggesting that we file another form and to say that he did "all that he was required to do." Doesn't build much confidence in someone that responds this way when over 3 months has elapsed since you filed your return, does it?Ever since we started being concerned with this, back in March, we have been patient, and our only goal was to see our return filed. Their continued lack of professionalism is astonishing, and their endless ability to place blame elsewhere, rather than apologizing for any possible mistakes (or even admitting that it's a possibility they made a mistake), considering there is no tracking information that was provided to us to show that our return was mailed and delivered. Considering the amount of money that we spent for this, especially since we provide a detailed information in the first place, one would think they would have some sort of tracking information to provide.We understood back in March when we were told that it was probably delayed because it had to be filed via the mail. By the time it hit April, and we spoke with some people at the IRS, aour concern started growing, especially when they investigated the issue and found no return filed. We called them again in the beginning of May, and were told the same thing, and was told that we should just mail in the return again. The response from Jeremiah at Cornerstone was that if we mailed it, they would have two returns, and it could cause problems. He recommended for us to continue waiting. Now that it's mid-may, we no longer feel comfortable continuing to wait, especially because we have spoken with the IRS at length about it, on at least 4 separate occasions, to no avail.In the past, the only time we've ever had a headache when it came to filing, was gathering up the information to actually file. In all of the years that I have filed taxes individually, and as a family or business, neither of us have ever had a problem after filing with a supposedly reputable accounting or tax preparation service.All it would have taken is some recognition that we had legitimate concerns since over 2 months had passed originally when we started complaining about this; rather than simply blame the process at the IRS, the daycare we were using, and whatever else the blame could be passed on. By the third month, if Cornerstone would have simply done what they could to take care of us, and admit that it's a possibility that it never arrived, rather than continuing to claim that the IRS has it, even though we verified through multiple departments that they don't have it... Anyway, we learned our lesson, and next time will seek out a professional company that will take responsibilities for things like delays, and will be thoughtful enough to provide tracking information when client asks for it.
