Filled out all my paperwork online the day before I went in. Went around 3 waiting around 10 mins had my interview and they got me an interview with the place I wanted the very next day. Did my training videos the same day and drug test. So they got me through pretty quick. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because they didn't tell me the time of the interview and I have a job right now and work tomorrow so it would have been nice to know what time the interview was.

So Catawba Valley Staffing gave me a position at ISS Baxter. I was able to work there for one week then sadly my entire family had the flu go through our household. As a result I missed almost two weeks of work. Catawba Valley Staffing reassigned me to Haldex. My first day of haldex I was sick again. Thinking that I may have contacted the flu again, I called my family doctor to set up an appointment. When I called Catawba Staffing to inform them that I was sick again and to let them know that I had a doctor's appointment looming, the lady I spoke with on the phone was very rude to me and informed me that they could no longer work with me unless I had 6 months of excellent work history somewhere else first. Like yeah right, I'm going to go somewhere else and get 6 months of excellent work history so that I can come back and work for you guys. It wasn't my fault that my wife, my children, and myself all had the flu. I'm not in control of when I get sick or when members of my family get sick. I honestly wish I was in control of that however, because I would make sure that we never got sick. Now I understand where they're coming from. They sent a new client to a job and after the first week he works he ends up missing two weeks because of the flu. I understand it looks bad when they reassign him and he gets sick again. However, what I don't understand is the sudden attitude that the lady over the phone gave me when she said they could no longer help me. It's all good though because there are several temporary agencies in McDowell County. It won't be hard for me to find work somewhere else. But I will never work for Catawba Valley Staffing again and I will not refer them to any one of my friends or family members. Anyone with half a brain in their skull would not go work somewhere else for 6 months, just so they could come back to Catawba Valley Staffing. They claimed they had several positions available and that they would work with me in any way possible to ensure that I had work regardless of the circumstances. It's funny how there are several positions available when you first show up, but when something happens that prevents you for being able to work suddenly all those positions vanish. Avoid this staffing agency like the plague. And if you do end up working for them, make sure you're 100% healthy and are absolutely immune to any kind of sickness.

To anyone looking for a job please consider going to Catawba valley staffing!!! They are honest and really do take care of the people working for them they go above and beyond

The ladies at this office were very professional and helpful when I inquired about employment through their agency. Even though they were unable to offer me a job the day I was there, they encouraged me to check in with them daily and they would call me when they had an opportunity that matched my skills. The office manager made a point to introduce herself to me and welcome me as a potential employee, and assured me they would actively present me to employers. I look forward to working with them soon.
