I have worked with several recordkeeper/tpa service providers over the past 3 years and BlueStar is absolutely top notch. Their people are friendly, knowledgeable and consistently exceed my expectations. Keep it up!

Feedback:

My experience with BlueStar's TPA and Recordkeeping services has been nothing but great. I have yet to find another TPA that rivals their customer service, educational mindset, and heavy focus on plan compliance. It's hard to find a provider with such vast knowledge and care for participant outcome and success. They continually strive for improvements and progress in a fast-changing industry.I highly recommend any employer to consider using BlueStar as a service provider for their retirement needs.

We have worked with a number recordkeeping/tpa partners over the last 8 years and we've yet to find a group that provides us the value that Bluestar does. Their pricing is competitive, their platform is flexible, and their service team is both competent and responsive. Their expertise in working with different plan types relative to associations, PEOs, and other MEP-like offerings has also been very helpful. Their offering and partnership has been a huge strength to us as we have grown our retirement book of business over the last 8 years and we never hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

BlueStar Retirement has left a remarkable impression on me during the last several years of using their 401(k) administration services. As a product of their great service and experience focused philosophy, I have also referred hundreds of clients to them as well. I have worked with MANY other recordkeeper and TPA firms and have yet to find one that rivals the combination of cost, service, and compliance that BlueStar provides.I have had very positive interactions with countless team members at BlueStar in everything from plan setup to payroll transactions. The management team is extraordinarily capable, forward-thinking, and responsive to needs.

I have worked with BlueStar regarding 401(k) transitions and servicing and have found them to have excellent customer service and that they respond quickly to requests. They are awesome.

I do not write reviews ever but I came across reviews for BlueStar that were totally unfair, inaccurate and obviously written by people that do not have a clue. No wonder these people “lost money”. BlueStar is a third party administrator for 401k plans and has nothing to do with the underlying plans, investments or strategies; that is up to the sponsoring company of the 401k plan and individual participant elections. If someone lost money in their 401k plan or did not get the return they desired, it’s a result of the investment that THEY chose, not the fault of the third party administrator. In fact, from long time experience, BlueStar does a fabulous job of providing educational materials to help participants make educated choices, however ultimately the responsibility is on the participant to insure they are investing their money in accordance with their own risk tolerances and objectives. BlueStar has a first class website and best in class customer service.

They get no stars from me and I only picked on so I could post my review! I attempted to cancel this account so I could put the funds in my IRA with Fidelity. However since they charge you $100 fee then money I earned and came out of my paycheck cannot be returned since it will cost more than what's saved. I was automatically enrolled into this account during my stint on a contract position. The money that was put into this account only covered July to September being my last month on contract. At this time I am trying to add to my portfolio and the little bit would have helped.

Terrible experience me and my fellow workers found out less than 114 0 days ago that our company was sold to another company and that our 401k would nog be able roll over into the new company's 401k that we could A roll into a IRA or cash out now weeks later we are getting the run around the company has not closed the account yet, The company doesn't show the they sold out etc etc etc Im close to calling a lawyer
